It's NOT Mold
This is an excellent product. A number of reviewers are mistakenly attributing the coating on the dried figs to mold but this is not what I have found. if you read further about them, they get a sugar like coating over time that is not mold. They are surprisingly sweet on the outside when this occurs naturally over time. It is a pleasant surprise, for sure and I was very relieved to learn about this so don't misunderstand this product and give it a poor review without doing the research!! Delicious!

Otto figs
These literally are the best figs I’ve ever eaten. They are so plump. And they have this really awesome powdered sugar sort of thing coating on them. BUT. BUYER BEWARE. I’VE BOUGHT THEM FOUR TIMES AFTER THE FIRST INITIAL BAG AND THEY SENT ME HAZELNUTS INSTEAD. FOUR TIMES IT’S HAPPENED AND I STILL DON’T HAVE MY FIGS. Hazelnuts are what they sent me instead. I’m scared to order another bag of figs because I’m scared I will get hazelnuts again. UPDATE after speaking with With Amazon and then speaking with Otto they said they were working on the problem and since then I’ve ordered the figs and they’ve come in.

Too wet and sticky low quality taste
These figs are super wet and sticky and are pretty gross. I LOVE dried figs but these were outta hand disgusting 🤮!! PLUS+++ when I bit into one I thought I broke a took on whatever it was that was entirely too hard to be in a dried fig!! what’s crazy is that I feel like the quality of these things was actually pretty good but the taste the messiness the texture just were not at my alley. They’re really big like way too big and hard to eat with grace…… I feel with how much they cost and even though the quality is okay I still think they’re not worth it. ***1 being the worse ***5 being the best —-quality = 3 —-taste = 0 —-texture = 0 —-price = 2
