The cream is gritty/grainy
The gritty/grainy texture of the cream makes it irritating to the skin I am trying to sooth. It does not work as well as the ointment I used to use.

Boric acid ointment
I didn't like that this appears to be the product of a home production operation, boric acid powder mixed with a petroleum base. It didn't work for the condition I bought it for, when other like products in the past have worked well. It is also very greasy.

The first jar I bought of this was just fine, the second has undissolved grains of boric acid in it, not acceptable.

Finally! Until they come up with penicillin salve, this is your best bet. Antibiotic salves don't touch this. Period.
