Solar Angle Guide, Solar Panel Accessories for Higher Solar Energy Intake and Shorter Solar Charging Time

Very simple to use. Easy to read. It's held on by a spring clip, like a close pin. Which works well and doesn't damage the solar panels. Others I looked at used clips like the ones on tool bags. Those things hold great but tear up anything you clip to. Solar panels are to expensive to tear up. Anyway these are very easy to use and work really well and easy to read.

Super simple to use.Works well for what it does but now that i get the concept a stick would have worked just as well!Very tiny, the picture is misleading.The clamp to attach the device does not open very wide so I had a hard time figuring out how to get it attached to the solar panels.

Gets the job done, throws an easy to see dot on the target. Its got a clip to use to attach to a panel, but realistically you'll probably just take the clip off (two philips screws) and set the cube on the panel. It appears to be constructed of thin acrylic so don't drop it or hit it against anything or it'll probably at least crack. (probably scratches easily, so don't just throw it in the toobox - though I doubt scratches will affect its performance) The silver base is actually a thick slab of aluminum which gives it a much more solid / less cheap feel. Could use a lanyard attachment for when up on a roof with it checking many panels. It's also pretty lightweight.

Increased my input by 15%-20%. Simple but genius tool.

Bought this to help ensure the best angle for our off-grid solar panels, every watt counts.

Purchased one and it seems to work really well, the large dome makes for easy viewing. The metal retaining clip would seem to be intended for soft/foldable panel use and I agree it has some sharp edges so if that is an issue one suggestion would be to lightly sane the clip edges or use some sort of duct or vinyl electric tape to cover the part of the clip thats screwed to the base. If you need it for a hard panel with aluminum framing then two screws underneath removes the clip and you can lay it on the bezel. I went a step further and put a few strips on magnetic tape under mine and on the panel bezels but that's not really necessary as you should only consider using this device as a momentary sun transit checker. Leaving this baking in the sun will almost certainly fade the ink grid printing on the base. It seems the plastic dome and the metal base are not permanently attach as the base popped off dome once, some simple glue would remedy that but it only happened once so i didn't bother.

Fall is a perfect season for solar panel frustration. The sun moves. It also has a new path and timeline. Use this tool to keep your portable solar panels pointed at it. The output power increases when they are perpendicular to the sunlight.My first experiments showed the value of this product. I quickly ordered another one. Plan to readjust portable solar panels throughout the day.

The Solar Angle Guide has an aluminum base and is very well made. Works great! Magnet mount modification how-to: I removed the clip and and affixed a piece iron metal to the aluminum base. Now it works magnetically on Jackery SolarSaga 100 folding panels (they have built-in magnets for closing.) The Solar Angle Guide makes it easy to optimize solar placement!
