Gave it to my in-laws as a Christmas present now, they can travel and not have to worry on the mail being stolen.

Over 20+ years, our original mailbox developed a crack on its base, which finally gave way to California's Santa Ana winds. I did not think that I would find an exact replacement. But I did. On Amazon of all places! Since I am in my 70s and have health problems, I had to have a contractor who accepts small jobs paint the mailbox in the HOA-prescribed white, assemble the parts, take off the old, cement sidewalk-bolted base, bolt the new mailbox to the same spot on the sidewalk, and dispose of the old mailbox. A younger, healthier person, who is as moderately handy as I was, could have done the same things himself. I believe this new mailbox will outlive me, lasting another 20+ years or so.

I appreciate the seller's attention to my concern and overall responsiveness. Although this product did not work for me. the seller was very responsive and I appreciate that.

Once I assembled the mailbox the letter door is damaged and will not stay in place. The rain continues to gather inside the mailbox and my mail is all wet. I searched for parts and I am unable to find the replacement. Please advise?

Finally got the mailbox installed. It arrived in good condition followed manufacturer instructions and assembly was easy. Was lightweight to carry after setup. However I would like to mention 2 hiccups..1) although it came with the 4 screws for the base they were not clear how to put together if I did it how it came it would not fit flush no listing was in the instructions. 2) seeing that I was placing it on my lawn..Ihad to get creative so I bought a 12x12 brick, drilled 4 holes where base would go, after digging an appropriate size hole, used quick dry cement, leaned it up struggling the entire time..and with the Lords and my niece's help got it righted. Not everyone has a cement surface to work with or an available handy man. A little more instructions would have helped. That said.. I do love my mailbox choice, so many people are slowing down to look, it makes my home complete..

Cast aluminum which will probably break just as easily as the one I just replaced.
