Colorista 1-Day Washable Temporary Hair Color Spray, Blue, 2 Ounces

My son is going crazy over this spray and his sonic the hedge hog blue hair. He even wrote a short story about the great compliments he gets, and the way he can "feel the power" when his hair is blue. He is 7, so who knows what he is talking about, but its been a huge hit. We tried the chalk sticks from a different brand and they were not nearly as bright as this spray. Here are my take aways and pointers: 1. I place a paper towel or cloth behind the hair that is to be sprayed so that clothing and skin are not affected. I have my daughter hold the item for me over her brother while I spray. 2. I spray in short bursts to make sure the blue is going where I intend. It is pretty powerful and the bursts are quick. 3. It is somewhat sticky - so I only allow him to wear this for 2 days before removing and taking a little break. 4. If he sweats, it does run. He wears a lacrosse helmet, and also swims twice a week, so we wear this in between and wash it out prior to him entering the pool. It is great for a short term hair style change. Enjoy

Sweet Baby Jesus. Did this give the intended color? Yes. But it took multiple do-overs. I recommend you do this in a bathtub, facing a wall you can wipe down. This stuff will make everything blue--your floor, your shower curtain, you, the insides of your lungs. All blue. It rubs off easily as well, so my kids touching their hair led to blue fingers and then blue fingerprints on everything they could possibly touch (to the lady at the talent show who got too close to my kid, that's on you). Maybe don't put it on kids, mmmkay? Finally, it was a PAIN to wash out. In short hair it took a few quick washes. In long, light blonde hair, it took a few washes each day for a few days and even then it left a greenish hue for about a week. It also left a nice blue ring in the bathtub. It's a great price and will do the job if you have the willpower to see it through and not regret your decisions.

This stuff goes on like a power house and WORKS! But spray with an old towel covering your clothes ....and anything nearby you don’t want to get a blast of blue! It comes out strong (the way a can of air blasts a keyboard to clean it). I thought ahead and wore vinyl gloves when I was spraying his hair and am thankful I did that. It makes your hair VERY stiff, so style before you spray! My son wore a white & yellow raglan shirt to school, but came home with a blue shirt....he has short hair so I’m unsure how that even happened. He also came home with a blue forehead and neck. It says it washes right out, but I washed my son’s hair FIVE TIMES and he still had a tinge of blue to his dirty blonde hair, as if he’d been swimming in over chlorinated water all day, all summer long LOL. It also stained the bottom of our shower and the fabric shower curtain. I got it off of the shower floor after some serious scrubbing (and chemicals) and washed, dried and ironed the shower curtain back into shape...a whole lot more work than I’d bargained for on “Crazy Hair Day”! All in all, it def works and it’s fun, just be careful with it and know what you’re getting into (don’t use it if you have an important meeting at work tomorrow ;)

I have light/medium brown hair so I didn't have high hopes for a bright blue color. Boy was I wrong. The blue was SO bright and vibrant! I will say that it's messy. Even after having it in my hair for a couple hours, if I brushed up against something or touched my hair, blue would transfer. This was perfect for Halloween though!

I bought this to turn my 12yo daughter’s hair blue for a Coraline Halloween costume. She has long, dirty blonde hair. It went on pretty easily. I covered her with an old shower curtain and she held a paper plate in front of her face and sprayed her hair outside. We gave it a few minutes to dry and it looked really good! Then, we realized it was coming off EVERYWHERE! If we touched her hair, our hands turned blue. We tried to comb it into a hair clip and our brush turned blue. Her neck started turning blue. We feared that we would have to whip up a Smurf costume instead! She did not appreciate the comment. Mind you, this all happened less than one hour before her friends came over, so there were tears. In an effort to save her costume from getting stained, I had her jump back in to the shower. She washed her hair twice. Then, I had to have her shower AGAIN, because the blue was still all over her back and in her hair! It was very stressful and she ended up without the characteristic blue hair. The color does NOT wash out in one shampoo. She washed her hair again that night and last night. The blondest parts of her hair are still greenish. I am going to have to take her to the salon to get a serious shampoo, if it doesn’t come out this week. None of the videos that I watched about the product mentioned it would be a total mess. We should have gotten a blue wig. I would never use this product again. It’s unfortunate, because it looked cool before we touched it...

When you have mostly gray hair and choose to color it bright blue, you'll soon have a problem with a "skunk stripe" on your head. :D This product helps me blend in the gray areas until I can get to a salon again -- and stretches out the time between appointments, saving me $$$. The color isn't an exact match, but it's close enough; it gives a little extra dimension to the overall hair color. Applying it is no more messy than using regular hair dye: I use gloves and cover my clothes with an old zipped hoodie. Any overspray is easily washed away with a cotton ball dampened with a little soap & water. And the price is right. Highly recommended.

I am now feeling and looking blue after using this product. I used a towel around my shoulders luckily a similarly blue towel while applying. Had no clue it would be the consistency of hairspray and impossible to brush out. But now my face neck and shirt and hands and floor are all blue. I need to basically immediately shower to get this stuff out of my hair now and even when you let it dry for a few minutes like it says my black shirt is now also blue. I think I liked blue until today. This product has made me want to change my favourite color. It’s been blue for the last 33 years so I guess now is a good time to change it to anything else. I think this product would be okay for people with really short hair that you don’t need to brush but even then they’d probably get it all over their face.

So the product worked but the same time didn't. So me and my friend shared one cans worth of product. He has naturally red hair and I have dark brown hair. We used the same amount of product and that was 1/2 a can each. When I took a shower all the product came out and my hair is normal. My friend however Is on shower number 5 and his hair still has dye in it. Now I don't know if he just sucks at showering but for what was advertised as "comes off with one shower" it definitely didn't. I only recommend if you have dark hair or want to have coloured hair for a week with light hair

if you’re blonde this will stain FOR WEEKS!!!

The only reason why I didn't five 5 stars : one bottle is not enough to do all my daughter's hair (9 yo, she has a bob, chin level). The blue was super blue but I couldn't finish her hair. I followed an advice I found here: put conditioner, rinse, wash a couple of time with shampoo (until clear), conditioner again and her hairs are back to blond.
