addictively good
I fell in love with chili crisp after a Chinese neighbor brought over some homemade chili crisp. After he moved, I had to find another supplies, and Lao Gan Ma is considered the best according to my research. It is delicious. The heat level is very reasonable - I would say it is between mild and medium. The flavor is great - I find myself adding it to all kinds of foods I love it so much (e.g., tuna fish salad). The ratio of oil to spices is perfect - you can scrape out a bunch of spices without drowning in oil. I love using it to make dumpling sauce (black vinegar, soy, chili crisp, sesame oil, maybe some fresh ginger and garlic, etc.). It also goes great in a cucumber salad (black vinegar, soy, chili crisp, sesame oil). It is reasonably priced and I cannot imagine not keeping some in my fridge at all times.

Taste good, but itโs kind of salty and spicy
Delicious good on a lot of things. Itโs really good with hummus and pretzels and on hard boiled eggs Iโd really recommend this one. You could try and make it yourself, but Iโve heard thatโs pretty difficult. Just a really good thing.

I think itโs great for almost every dish
I had never bought this before, but it is delicious. I will be buying it for now on. Iโve put it in several dishes now and Iโm hooked yes itโs spicy, but itโs not overwhelmingly powerful. I am a Texan so spicy food doesnโt affect me as much as others, but to me, it was the perfect amount of heat. I love the crispy flakes and the garlic finish.

Very large and tasty
Nice and crispy with good spice and garlic flavor. Not too much heat, but that was expected for me (though could be quite spicy for some people). Overall good purchase especially for the quality and quantity in this huge bottle.

Delightful taste, texture, & spiciness
PROs: nicely spicy with a nifty crunchy texture. reasonably priced (unlike a lot of the trendy "craft" chili crisp flooding the US market now). CONs: preservatives you might want to avoid (monosodium glutamate, sodium sulfite, and sulfur dioxide). super salty. I was lucky to receive my big jar in one piece, unlike some reviewers. (There wasn't any cushioning inside the box to protect it in transit, so I would advise anyone ordering to consider ordering it alone, rather than as part of a larger order of things that might get damaged by leaking oil or an inadvertently cracked or smashed jar.) Don't be put off by bizarre assertions in some reviews about a "fishy" taste: there is none, nor are there any ingredients that would impart one! There is, however, a lot of salt. To my palate, the level of sodium is overwhelming, which is a shame because I like nearly everything else about Lao Gan Ma's chili crisp, aside from the preservatives. Chili crisp has a way of enhancing most foods that is surprising and delightful. It is fantastic on everything from eggs to veggies to meats to noodles. It has a habit of disappearing really quickly... which is why, if you like the taste, this large jar isn't overkill. If you haven't tried it before, it might not be a bad idea to first buy a small jar at your local Asian grocer to see if you like it: it should be about $3 for a 7oz. jar. You can also order a case (12 jars) of LGM here on Amazon for about $36. After buying this Family/Restaurant Size jar of LGM, I ordered a case of the small jars. Interestingly, the small jars (produced in March 2020) I received taste COMPLETELY different than this large jar: the sodium level isn't through the roof like it is in this large jar, and the flavor and crispiness are noticeably better. I have no idea if it is typical for batches to vary this much in taste -- or if I just got a one-off or expired large jar -- but I am even more addicted now. Great stuff!

Add it to your cart. It is delicious
Very tasty. Very garlic forward. Has a nice crunch with a mild to medium heat. It is one of the best chili crisps I have tasted and I have tried many. My only gripe is the $6 price increase. That being said it is back in my cart.

Same great sauce, better value!
Nice size! Now we wonโt run out so quick! And every bit as tasty and spicy hot as the small store jars. A much better buy!

Tasty, but improperly packaged for delivery.
I love the product, but it has leaked (or broken) in transit on every occasion that I have purchased it.
