Does the job perfectly
As mentioned in product description, does its job perfectly. Since a month i was looking for a solution where i can connect my external screen and 5.1 channel home theatre with hp laptop as it is having only 1 hdmi port. Finally i got this item and am more than happy. You can go for it if your laptop is not having 2 hdmi ports and you are looking for extender.

Inferior quality!!!
I have used about three of this product and found out that the power IC keeps burning out or heats up and power supply does not work after that. The product last about a month or so. Very inferior quality!!!

Faulty Product
This product is faulty. There is no power coming when connected to power source. The power led is off even when plugged in to power supply. Now the return window is also closed so it is a total loss for me now

Effective solution for long HDMI runs
It just works. Plug in power, plug in HDMI cables, done. I'm using two of these on a pretty long (about 80 ft) HDMI run. The first one at the HDMI source almost did the job. Only occasional signal dropouts. I added the second one at a connection between two cable sections about halfway down the run. Signal is now strong with zero drop outs or flickers. Highly recommended.
