I unpacked the mat a couple days ago. At first it wasn't flat because it was rolled up in a box for shipping. It was flattened out a lot over the past couple days. I expect it will be completely flat in a few more days. Initially I oriented the mat width wise, but found that I roll back and forward more than side to side. I have the mat depth wise and it works better this way for me. The length of the mat is enough to cover the distance from scooting the chair out to stand up or scooting all the way in. I purchased this to protect our floor from scruff marks caused by the casters on my office chair. At first the mat slid around a little bit. Now that it's mostly flattened out it stays in place.

The thickness is nice. It lies flat. It covers up the (non-functional) vent on my floor so that my chair's wheels don't get stuck in it. The price is right, and I don't regret my purchase. However, the mat does slip a bit, contrary to how it's advertised. The product images show a deeply grooved "anti-sip" grid texture on the underside. The reality is that there's kind of some very fine lines that you can barely see if you angle it just right in the light. It feels smooth to touch. And it doesn't do much to stop the mat from sliding ever so slightly backward every time I scoot my chair forward. Meaning I have to periodically drag the whole thing forward to keep it from bunching up against the wall behind me. But it is what it is. At this price point, I don't think there's going to be a much better option. I may just add an anti-slip pad underneath it at some point.

Works really well. My chair at my sewing table is secure and no longer try to roll away with me. Plenty of space for me to move my chair back and forth and side to side, and still stay on the mat. The mat was rolled up when it arrived and secured with zip ties and I was afraid that it would not lay flat at the ends where it had been rolled, but I placed my chair on the mat and as it warmed up it settled flat with no problem and sits flat on my hardwood floor. Its a nice thickness, and easy to clean up. As I mentioned I’m using it at my sewing table which means lots of thread and bits of fabric, they sweep off easily, and its also textured just enough that my vaccum is able to clean it. So far I am pleased, and its working as I expected.

Purchased mine less than a year ago. I used it under my nail desk on the client side of the desk. It did well for the first 5-6 months. After which the edges starting curling up. My clients or myself would almost trip on the edges. I flipped it around so the curled side would sit under the desk rather than in the walking area. The edges started curling there too. It did well for the short time I had it. But not recommended for professional daily wear.

I usually don't write reviews unless the product blew me away (exceeded my expectations) or was a waste of money. In this case, this mat is a waste of money. At first I liked it, but after a while it gets caught with my desk chair wheels all the time, and it folds inside out 8-10 times. You can see the fold in the picture where it folds every time my chair gets caught. super annoying. I would recommend you get a rubber mat instead of this crappy plastic mat

Does move a little bit on linoleum floors. But works exactly as expected.

Bought this mat for under my desk at home. Had a really hard time finding on that would fit since my desk is not typical, but decided that I could probably just lift one end of the desk and set it on the mat if need be. This mat is thin enough that I was able to do this without having to wedge anything under the other side to make up for the inbalance. I cannot speak to the durability of the mat, since I have only had it a couple weeks, but I can say that I did not have any trouble getting it to lay flat. I put mine in my living room with gallon jugs of water on the corners and within a couple hours, the mat was flat enough to position on the floor under the desk. I could see where if you were taking your rolling chair on and off the sides a lot that it would start to curl up the lip, but isn't the whole point of the chair mat to not allow the rolling chair to come into contact with the wood floor? Overall, a great buy for the price. Time will tell if it holds up as well as I hope!

This mat moves around on flooring quite a bit. It came rolled up and it took some time to uncurl, it still possesses a triping hazard. Not recommend.
