German Dirndl Dress for Women Oktoberfest Carnival Outfits

Bought this early for Oktoberfest this year since I may go to several and would like to have different looks. It’s about as authentic as you can get in modern America! (I do have a real dirndl that is def better quality, but this is a close second that would fool anyone—at least after it’s ironed/de-wrinkled lol!) I love the print and the vibrancy of the colors; very true to the pix online. I do also feel like I can wear this without a slip (ie it’s not see-through). The chemise is decent quality (not premium, but does a good job) and I love the trim detail! The chemise also runs a little big, and the whole dress is maybe half an inch too big, so while I’m glad I bought the 2XL, I’d def want to wear this with a bra (whereas with my real dirndl I don’t need to wear a bra). Regardless, this dirndl is very comfy, I can move around freely, and with the apron cinched and tied around the waist, it makes it the perfect size for me. The apron and the bodice laces are a satiny/silky texture and better quality than I expected! And I appreciate that this is a more modern-traditional length (not skimpy short) and that the apron ties are long in order to properly tie around the waist. The whole thing def needs to be ironed or steamed and I do wish it had pockets, but those are both easy fixes. :) Overall, I’m extremely happy with my purchase and can’t wait to wear it!! For reference, I am 5’3”, 180lbs, and my measurements are 44-36-46. I bought the 2XL and it was a tiny bit loose all around, but I think a size down would not have zipped around my bust. At least I can breathe and move in this and the apron helped shape the whole thing up just fine!

This dress was so beautiful. It fit well and was flattering. It looked authentic and not costume like. I highly recommend this dirndl.

I love this dress, and it arrived just before Oktoberfest (which I ended up being unable to attend for personal reasons). The materials and quality are ridiculously nice. I love all the little details! The only issue I had (which is arguably the biggest) is the size. I checked the measurements listed and ordered the largest size possible. I knew it was going to be a tight squeeze, but it still should have fit. I honestly thought it would be the blouse that wouldn't fit over my boobs, but it surprised me. It was the dress that was way smaller than advertised. I couldn't even get the two sides of the zipper to meet. There is absolutely no hope of being able to wear the dress (at least not until my reduction surgery, which is why I'm going to hold onto it instead of return it). If it does happen to be your size, I highly recommend this! I'm not exaggerating when I say how gorgeous it is. Just prepare your iron because it will arrive fairly wrinkled. For reference: I normally wear a US woman's 16/18 or XL (depending on the item); my measurements are about B: 50" W: 35" H: 53". The blouse barely fit over my chest, but it was fairly comfy once I got it on. The dress wouldn't zip at all, if I remember correctly, so I can't say how it fit my waist. UPDATE: I just realized I never updated this review. I'll keep the original because I think it holds important information. I got a breast reduction last winter. I went from a 50" bust to a 45". To put into better perspective, I went from a G cup to roughly a C or B cup (depending). The blouse definitely fits a little more loosely...but the dress still doesn't fit me. It's not because of my weight, it's simply not designed for broader-bodied people. And I don't mean fat, I mean broad. Fat aside, I have a fairly broad torso for a female, and this dress, sadly, was not designed with my body type in mind. For those who are of similar build, I hope this information helps you.

I returned this one only because I had a different one that just fit better. This one was just a bit too large in the shoulders. The one I kept was also all cotton, which I actually wanted, while this one is a shiny material. That's not a bad thing though, this one is freaking GORGEOUS, and if it had fit as well as the other one, I would have kept this instead. The undershirt for this one is amazing. So much softer than any of the others I tried on and it wasn't so tight on my arms either. Looking at the pic makes me sad that I didn't keep it because it is just so pretty, but I did rock the other one that I kept. If you're looking for a "fancy" one, this is it! If you're looking for a more traditional one, go with cotton. I'm 32DD and I believe this was a Large. I have very petite shoulders and a small waist. It was slightly too big in the waist and shoulders or if I'd had more boobs, it probably would have been fine. I could not have gone down a size though so that was what ultimately made me return it. Another one I'd tried on fit much better so I went with the other one.

I loved the pattern of this but the apron is sad and cheap looking (it’s like super thin fake satin). Also the whole dress was a little too big but specifically I was swimming in the bust and the straps were too long. Tightening the corset just causes it to bunch up in a wonky way. I am like a 36 c/size 6 in dresses and ordered a small (the smallest size available)

Very nice cotton material. With three pieces it’s eady to wear.

Super cute, great quality, comfortable and unique. The fabric is decent, the zipper quality is good although the side placement takes help or some practice to get zipped. The size was perfect, true to size I would say. Definitely recommend this for anyone wanting a festive Oktoberfest dress that is traditional enough but also unique in color and style.

Def not worth 45.00. The apron is very cheap looking/feeling. The sizing was off so I had to return for a bigger size. Once that one arrived, it had no tags on it (as if used) and the white under shirt was missing!!! So I had to do yet another return. I had to get another because my daughter needed for a play and we were out of time getting her a costume, so I was stuck with the product. I wouldn't recommend this dress at all. I'm waiting for the third one to arrive tomorrow, I'll update further if that one is also missing tags and items. It has been a pain to say the least!! I'd look elsewhere

We had this event for October fest and it was a very good choice. The quality is good and I could reuse for other activities such as the Halloween..

Bought for an Oktoberfest party and it is fine. I’d recommend order your correct size. The material quality was better than I expected so happy with it for what it cost.
