Great spider that replaced another less durable spider. This spider is very solid, and will definitely outlast the previous spider that it replaced. The wires are thick and sturdy, but not to such as an extent as to make it unwieldy. The size of the basket is sufficient, although I might wish for a slightly larger basket to scoop up more.

I really like Oxo products, and this item is sturdy and of good quality as well. The only thing I'm not happy with is that the description states that it's 3.23" in length (meaning the depth of the basket), but that's not even close--the basket is maybe 2" deep. Still, I will keep and use it. Just be forewarned.

We occasionally use a deep fryer and our old scoop finally quit. We purchased this one and it's absolutely perfect. The scoop itself is large enough where the fried food can properly drain during removal. This was lacking with our old scoop.

I use this for making bagels. All of my kitchen utensils are Oxo so I like that this matches my collection. It was just what I was looking for.

Quite sturdy and well-made; the bars don't detach or bend with usage. Handle is great to capture all sorts of things, such as those extremental specimens you need to send to the lab when you're over 50 years of age. Will actually hold my pet Yorkie when she's rolled in her own processed doggy food, so I don't get any on myself while carrying her to the sink. Mostly I use it to scoop up things I've been cooking in hot water b/c it works so much better than a colander!

Every kitchen needs a spider! It's great for taking vegetables and pasta out of boiling pots. No more using the lid to drain over a sink. This is a solid product and easy to hold and use. Great value for money.
