A Worthy Purchase
I saw this product when I visited my vet and decided to give it a try since my dog is a bit high strung. I’m very pleased with the results. She does settle down and becomes calm when I spray ThunderEssence in my room, on her blanket, the rug, or her body. I usually use it in the evening to help her sleep and during storms instead of constantly digging into my rug and pacing. The bonus is that the fragrance is pleasant as well. The positive results made it worth the money that I spent.

calmed my puppy
I purchased this in desperation after trying everything and sleeping 2 nights on the floor to keep my new puppy calm in her crate. I don't usually write reviews and I'm still skeptical, but after I received it I sprayed it on her crate cover and she went to sleep without much fuss and definitely without the tantrum and drama that earned her the nickname "demon dog". It isn't magic, it still took some time for her to settle fully but it felt miraculous that first night. The scent is lovely, it wears off fairly quickly but doesn't take much. The bottle is still almost full and now she goes to bed without any fuss and sleeps through the night.

Helps with Anxiety
I got the ThunderShirt for my rescue pup and it helped a lot with her stress going outside, but I wanted to try the spray to see if it would help her calm down when she gets too overwhelmed and shakes. I used 2-3 sprays on her shirt and it made a noticeable difference; the spray doesn't stop her from getting anxious but it helps her calm down and shake less when she's already overly stressed out. The smell is very nice and to me, it's mostly lavender with a little hint of chamomile. I think I can smell the geranium but it's hard to tell. The spray is also a bit strong even with 1-2 sprays so if you or your pup have a sensitive nose this may be too much. Do keep in mind that geranium oil can be toxic to cats if not diluted enough so if you have any, avoid spraying in the air around them or any surfaces they might walk on just to be safe. I only use the spray on my pup's shirt or on her bed, which is in a crate and our cat can't get to it.

Smells lovely...
...but didn't work for my fur baby. Purchased it because he has suddenly become afraid of loud noises and we had the 4th of July coming up. Unfortunately, for some reason, celebration for the 4th this year began in May with people setting off what I guess are called "bombs" which are extremely loud. These became more numerous, of course, as time progressed forward to the 4th. So I bought this and sprayed his bed, his fur, the sofa, and anything else that he would lay on or under. It smells lovely, it really does. It just didn't work. Maybe because I will typically purchase lavender scented cleaning products and air fresheners, so he is used to the smell? In any case, we survived.

Get it
Xena is a Lab mixed Border Collie and the border collie side makes her a wild child and a diva, I’ve tried topicals, tinctures and nothing. My trainer told me to get her this and man it works. I spray 3 x around her area she will be in and she literally just chills until she gets a rush again . She would run and jump on the couches so hard the couches almost tipped over into our sliding door multiple times so I’m happy this works so far she hasn’t done that since but it’s only been 1 day of use. My dog is still very active even when sprayed it just turns her down about 50 notches since she’s always on 100 😂, the smell on this smells almost like a smelly smell that keeps the mosquitoes away but it doesn’t last it goes away very quickly

Okay, this actually works!
Of my two dogs, the youngest has always had such bad travel anxiety that it made even a trip to the park a rough experience for all of us. Screaming, scratching, pacing, drooling, the works. For whatever reason, my husband and I decided to bring our dogs along on a road trip around New England and I was desperate to find something that would ease the anxiety. I ordered this stuff based on reviews saying that it helped calm other people’s dogs down and man, I just have to say this stuff actually works! I just spritz the dogs’ car hammock down before we hit the road and within minutes both of our dogs are calm, collected, and ready to go. The first time I was straight up amazed, and now that we’re several days into our trip I just have to say thank you ThunderEase for actually working wonders. I’ve included a picture of my dogs comfortably snoozing in their car hammock which is a sight I NEVER imagined I would see. No more screaming, scratching, pacing, or drooling. Just the occasional whimper to open the window so he can enjoy some fresh air. I never leave reviews but I thought this was absolutely worth every penny and wanted to share my experience. If you’re considering trying this out for a pup with anxiety, it’s absolutely worth a try.

Amazing response
Last evening we had the tiniest surprise lightning/thunder storm. As usual on cue, my 62 lb. Golden mix, Rosie, started panting, drooling, shaking, tail between her legs. I had just received this stuff so tried spraying into the air at first. Since she was pacing, there was no point in spraying on any bedding—which is pretty much any couch or bed she chooses. Then I sprayed a bit onto her back. Normally, she does not EVER like me to spray anything on her—she usually takes off. She just stood there, like in a trance. Not believing—I tried it again. Stillness. Then she took a few steps, her tail popped out from between her legs, she laid down & went to sleep peacefully. Holy crap! This was an instant reaction! Maybe might use a little less next time, though the smell was quite pleasant, there was a slight alcohol scent that burnt my nose & gave me a touch of a headache. I would suggest spraying it, then stepping out of the way of the spray till it settles. For now, I turned on the ceiling fan & all was well.

Thunder Essence
I bought Thunder Essence to replace the Thunder Ease spray which is finishing soon. What I like about Thunder Essence is the essential oil which is safer. Though my dog still goes crazy when the Thunder is extremely loud, I find that it’s effective to calm him down for normal Thunder . It smells good too. At least I do what I can to calm him down during a thunderstorm. If there’s other products out there that is more effective, I’ll definitely buy it. So it’s a 4 stars here
