It's Beautiful Costume Jewelry with Real Pearls and Abolone Shell
The abalone and pearls are real. The necklace as a whole is gorgeous. I get tons of compliments. It came nicely boxed. I already had the earrings. I love them, but they are so heavy they pull loose from the backs. I am so afraid of loosing them! I have recently learned there are special backs you can buy for heavy earrings. Amazon has them, and as soon as I can, I will buy them! I won't be wearing the earrings until I have the backs.

Was a gift for my daughter. Bought the matching earrings as well. Made a fabulous set!!!

Pretty, but mostly heavy plastic
Pretty, but very disappointed. The materials said metal, but the only metal on the necklace is the chain itself. The clasps and stars are all just heavy plastic. The beetle is just acrylic, not shell like indicated. Okay for a costume piece, but not good for any long term wear.
