this impeller has held up very well for me.
Great impeller. Not sure about the other problems reported by others but I've ordered these for both of my Shurwood pumps on Crusader 225 engines and had no problems. Replaced one this Spring on port side engine and the one that was in there for 2 seasons still looked great so I have kept it for a spare. Starboard impeller is on its 3rd season. Would definitely buy these again.

Defective impeller, but outstanding customer service!
I purchased 2 of these as spares. I ended up having the pictured impeller installed in one of my engines. It lasted less than 3 hours run time before the hub separated from the rubber portion. I'm hoping I have better luck with the second impeller, as the labor for installing these is starting to add up.Update: I talked to Steve at StayCoolPumps and he sent me 2 brand new impellers, free of charge. Outstanding customer service!

Do not buy! Impeller separates from hub!
Impeller separated from the hub within 6 months. I only put 17 hours on each engine this season before the starboard engine impeller separated. Also, the fins were showing signs of premature fatigue, they probably wouldn’t have lasted the average 2 years anyway. Yes I installed them properly and used PTFE lube when installing. Replaced with two factory Sherwood impellers for $10 cheaper each and won’t have to worry about this fiasco again. Wound up replacing both because I couldn’t confidently say the port impeller wouldn’t meet the same demise. What a waste of time and money. Inferior product, just glad it happened in my slip and not while underway.
