The first time I used the strainer, I attached it to a medium-sized frying pan. The strainer had a bit more curve than usual and I lost some of the smaller pieces of ground beef that slipped through the cracks and over the top of the strainer. The second time, I attached the strainer to my largest frying pan and it worked very well. The spring clips are sturdy and cling tightly to the pan, making it a useful hands-free strainer.The mini silicon pot holders are an added bonus! I wasn't sure I would like or even use them, but I was pleasantly surprised.
