K'nex straight pieces are thicker. so I doubt it. That said, I don't put anything past kids; they take 'no' as a challenge. He just started 4K and he loves them. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Building Kit For Toddlers/Children *by K***A on April 17, 2018* Great Building Kit For Toddlers/Children. I wasn't too sure how my 3yo daughter would do with this but she loves it. The connector pieces are large and rubber which makes it easy for children to hold and connect. Likewise, the rods are plastic and large and also easy to manipulate. The 50 charactesr are easy to build and its a great way of getting your child involved. I sit with my daughter and have her pick out a character to build and ask her what color pieces she thinks we need and have her pick them from the bin/tub. I then show her how to put some together and ask her to mimic what I've done. It's a great learning and play tool and my daughter loves it.
