Review: This works perfectly with 8" steamers - but they don't mention that. Wonder why - Why do they keep mentioning this is for 11 inch steamers? There's a perfect indention that snugly fits my 8" bamboo steamers, holds them securely and works great. I don't know why they don't mention that - seems like maybe they have too much business to sell any more. I have no idea but I do know this works perfectly for my pans to sung in perfectly with the 8" steamers I pile on three deep.

My first concern, was that there is not a tight enough seal between the boiling pot, the ring, and the steamer, but actually, no steam escapes from the seam. Go figure. This item really makes you job so much easier. Perfect tool for the job. Work smarter, not harder...blah, blah, blah. It's inexpensive enough to warrant such a luxury.

I'm afraid someone in my family will throw it away, because it looks like its a part missing from cookware.
