Durable, works as it should work, no dust!
I tried a few similar items. This one is durable because it has a steel washer inserted into the bowl hole. the one i got with my bit at lowes was completely horrible, it did not really work at all. One tore apart at the hole. This one fits flush against the ceiling making a nice seal. I think people still need to be careful if they want to mitigate the dust. For example, you have to be prepared to do something with the drywall/dust/insulation particles that fills the bowl. I drilled the hole, carefully came down the ladder, unplugged the drill, and brought it outside! Then I dumped out the bowl, and drilled the next hole... :)

Great with metal washer
Metal washer saves these and last much longer than the competition.

terrible. awful. I would return it if I could....
Like so many other reviews, the metal ring popped out after the first use. The dust just POURS out of the center hole all over the top of the drill and onto the floor. There is no seal, just a metal ring that falls out and is too big to catch any dust. The demonstration videos you see is NOT how this product works. I was better off without it, and simply using a vacuum cleaner to catch the dust on the way down. Don't waste your time of money on this one. About all it did was cause me grief and aggravation. And again, like so many other users have reported, it deforms and warps badly after only a few uses. Stay away....

Thought I was ordering the original made in the USA product but was a import.
I ordered this Dust bowl and thinking it was the one I have ordered in the past, but it is not. This Dust bowl works fine and came a week or so later. Upon further investigation I notice the one I just ordered is made by a offshore company. I also noticed that the original one I ordered is made in the USA. I prefer to support made in the USA products and for a dollar or so more. I will be more careful and will seek out and only by the original one that I understand is made in USA.

Does the job
Used this far my pot lights install. Kept all the dust contained. Just attach to your drill and push up against the ceiling compressing it while drilling.

Didn't last that long.
Started to fall apart after the tenth hole. But in its defense. I cut another 14 and try to stay togather.

Major improvement of dust fallout from drilling
Putting in ceiling lights, in past just drilled with hole and cleaned up after. With use of this shield there was minor dust, it caught and held the majority to be disposed of outside

The best ever!
I didn’t take pictures, but this is definitely worth the buy. My husband put 7 holes in the ceiling for lighting in the kitchen… I was afraid there would be dust everywhere! But with this amazing tool, all the dust that came from cutting holes 🕳️ stayed inside the bowl.I may upload some pictures next time he uses it. It made was so easy to use and no dust that I plan on having make more holes for more lighting in the living room, the hallway, etc

Un peu fragile
La bague d’aluminium a tendance a vouloir débarquer

damaged in postage
Seems like an ok product but arrived in a box too small and now has permanent crease lines around the rim. Leaves a gap against the ceiling now when drilling making dust fly out, unless pressing very hard.
