Planks get jammed
I liked the concept and quality of the wood. The issue is with the hole sizing. The screws get jammed and planks become unleveled making it near impossible to realign. The holes should be larger to allow proper gliding up & down. I really wanted to keep it, but it kept getting stuck.

Works well, instructions would be nice
I've never used a tofu press like this before and was kind of frustrated it didn't come with instructions. Lots of small parts and I had no idea what I was doing. I messed around with it for a while and figured it out, and it works pretty well. I used extra firm tofu and was surprised by how much liquid came out of the block in only 10 minutes or so. This seems well made and sturdy and will last a long time. I would order it again if needed, but PLEASE ADD INSTRUCTIONS!

It works
I bought this basically because of the cheap price. I was glad to see it was well made. But there were a couple of problems initially. Mine didn't come with any instructions. And trying to figure out how to assemble it was a problem because the springs caused the wooden parts to stick. I ended up opening out the holes in the top piece and not using the springs. I also put two washers on the bottom and two under the clamps and it works fine. I'm glad I bought it because I love tofu.

Had to return it
This Tofu press did not work for me. The top plate is supposed to slide up and down on two screws. It doesn't. After the first use, the top plate got stuck in the press position (a little bit askew) so badly, I was unable to get it back up. I sent it back and ordered Tofuture's Tofu Press which works great.

Does the job!
I really like this press. It is of very good quality, does the job and cleans up nicely. I highly recommend this for anyone in the market for one. 5 Star item!

Works but cumbersome
It does press out a good amount of water from tofu but it is too cumbersome and take a good amount of time. The instructions are not included with the product, but on the product page. The top board moves down fairly easily and you use the wing nuts to slowly press it to get more water out. The main issue is that it is very difficult to lift the top board back off. The holes are just a little bigger than the bolts. You have to lift both sides perfectly or it gets jammed easily. The springs do not help push it back up. It does get a little easier, but not much, as you use it more times. The bolts are very long for a small piece of tofu. It takes a lot of spinning to get the wing nuts on and off. The incessant amount of spinning and the difficulty getting it off are why it is so cumbersome and I don't use it anymore. I just squeeze it by hand and get at least some water out.

Difficult to work
Price was right. Seemed well made... But... The pressure plate will not move back up the splines at all on one side... It sticks. I will take it apart and sandpaper out the hole a little bit and pour a little olive oil on the spine but I was most disappointed with the quality and design.
