On the whole I think Bissell products are beautiful, but other products work better. I got the Bissell handheld to replace a Eureka mini that I LOVED but was discontinued. The Bissell is lovely, but the suction power was disappointing. The air blowing out the sides was annoying, too. I saw this product and thought, "Why not?" Not only does this attachment mitigate the noise and keep the air from blowing out the sides, it actually INCREASES THE SUCTION POWER of the vacuum! Whereas the Bissell used to struggle with pet hair, now it picks it all up like a champ. Bissell should pay the designer of this attachment for the rights and include it with the vacuum. This one adjustment makes this particular machine a superior product.

These little plastic covers are a wonderful improvement to the function of the hand vac. Many reviews stated that the forced hot air coming out of the sides of the vac when in use blows everything all over the place kinda defeating the use of cleaning. So these direct the air flow forward where it should go. Glad someone thought of these.

This air directional guards made my Bissell Pet Hair Eraser usable. Now instead of air blowing dirt all over floor it actually cleans. Two stars off is, because I needed to order item twice. First time: left side kept popping out, because bad quality control causing plastic piece being too short/shrunken during casting process. Otherwise this is necessity if you own Pet Hair Eraser. I would recommend this item.

There is one area within my home that is carpeted… those darn stairs. Something about “adhering to code,” or whatnot. Anyway, these wonderful little doodads just clip right into the vents on either side of your Bissell Pet Hair Eraser Handheld Vacuum and VOILÀ. No more spicy moments when you feel like you’re chasing the same tuft of loose fur around half your house because it keeps taking flight after catching the wind off put from your vacuum. These fit in nicely with the flat edge of either wind ear directed toward the business end of the vacuum, and redirect the exhaust directly back toward you, but not in a way that gives you that windswept sensation or look when the job is complete. They just redirect the airflow and give you a broader swathe of real estate to clean. I had no issues with compromised suction from the vacuum either. They do pop out easily if need be but are immensely easy to clip into place. Among my top ten Amazon purchases within the past three years! Would absolutely buy again!

You know if you have this hand vac that the holes on the side would blow the dirt around and you kind of had to chase it from here to there! No more. The caps direct it all into the vac. Great little invention!

These “vacuum ears” as I call them, are very beneficial to ensuring the vacuum works properly. The reason for the 4 stars is because they seem to fall off if bumped, usually once or twice during use of vacuum. As I said, not a huge inconvenience but definitely an inconvenience. I would still recommend purchasing though.

A great addition to my handheld vacuum - does as it says keeps vacuum exhaust going out back of unit instead of scattering hair, debris, etc. Tight fit with no issues of falling off.
