GCI Outdoor Freestyle Rocker XL Camping Chair - Black

Bought two of these for the Luke Bryan Farm Show and specifically wanted something comfortable for my wife, who is dealing with a torn hamstring. These were a great choice. They are sturdy, comfortable, and very easy to open and close. The rocking feature is smooth and the chair feels very stable. The back is a little shorter than I expected, but that’s on me for not paying closer attention to the dimensions. It hasn’t been a dealbreaker at all. We also got them at a great end-of-season sale price, which made the purchase even better. Overall, very happy with them — comfortable, well-built, easy to use, and a good value. We liked them enough that we bought two!

I like everything about this chair. Opens and folds easily and is sturdy. Glider movement is smooth and the chair is high enough. Easy to get up from.

I’m really impressed with this chair. It feels sturdy, well built, and is very comfortable to sit in, even for longer periods. The wide seat and solid armrests make it much more comfortable than a standard camping chair. It folds up easily for storage and transport, and the quality of the materials seems excellent. The title probably says it all. Solid chair, which was expected for the price. Not light, but I didn't really want it to be considering its function and my desire for it to last. It is not uncomfortable, but for me at 6'-4" tall, I could use another 2-3 inches of height on the backrest I believe before it would be quite comfortable for long duration sits. To be fair and honest, I have not sat in the chair for more than an hour and half, and I had no real comfort issues when doing so. It is more that in a rocker, you are certainly leaning/pushing back on the backrest constantly and as a result, you might notice it's lack of height if you are tall and not slouching. Either way, that does not warrant docking the chair a star. It is very nice and boy have the cheap camping chairs from 15 years ago come a long way. Let the World once again thank America and our endless pursuit of better products.

I actually love this chair! We just bought a camper and I use this as our outdoor chair around the fireplace at night! It folds up really nicely and it rocks so well it puts both of my kids under 3 to sleep lol 😆 it is made of a thick fabric and it dries very quickly if it gets wet! I’m 5’11” and it is perfect height and size for me and I’m a wide woman.

UPDATE: I am giving this four stars for the product after GCI offered to replace it even though it was days out of warranty. That, to me, is good business and even better customer service. And they believe in their product's craftsmanship. It's enough for me to say thank you to GCI and will continue to be a customer of what is an honest, forthright company. Those are hard to come by these days. OLD REVIEW: This is what 2 years of usage will get you. A ripped seat and no way to repair it. If you use this indoors you are probably fine, but you might be risking your money on outdoor usage. Very disappointing.

Comfortable chair that unfolds into a very stable rocker. I bought this chair to replace a bulky uncomfortable reclining folding chair that was heavy and not easily portable. The only con is that the chair is a little hard to fold and unfold. I’m sure that is just a learning curve issue. The overall appearance and quality appear to be good and it has two convenient handles, one for carry and one to assist in folding the chair.

Lovely comfy chair. Great for large people.
