I’ve been very impressed with the Gelish Foundation Flex Base Coat. It applies smoothly and evenly, creating the perfect foundation for my gel manicures. The flexible formula works especially well on natural nails, helping the polish stay in place without peeling or lifting. It cures quickly under my LED/UV lamp and provides excellent adhesion for both builder gel overlays and gel polish. Since I started using it, my manicures have lasted much longer while still looking smooth and glossy. The consistency is easy to work with, and only a thin layer is needed, so the bottle should last quite a while. It also soaks off easily when it’s time for a new set, making removal much more convenient. Overall, this is a high-quality base coat that performs just like a salon product. If you’re looking for better adhesion and longer-lasting gel nails, I highly recommend this product. I would definitely purchase it again.

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with this flexible rubber base for gel nails. I bought this, because I had already been using a rubber base plus fiber glass to add strength to my fine brittle nails. Unfortunately, that other product was so difficult to remove. I figured getting one without fiberglass would make for easier removal, and I was right. This flexible base coat does provide more strength than plain gel polishes, but it’s not nearly as strong as the other rubber plus fiberglass product. This foundation flex performed well. I would recommend this brand if your nails aren’t as brittle as mine; the flexibility allows for some minor bending and easier removal. No weird texture. Suitable stickiness. Perfectly clear. Good product.

I have a problem with permanent splits in my nails. This flexible foundation is really helping to cover those splits and keep them from "acting up". My photo shows the split in my thumbnail, but it's totally holding together and not snagging on things. It's been 3-4 days since I applied it, and its still holding strong.

I love the ease of use and simplicity of this Foundation Flex because no additional base coat is required. There is no odor. The brush is small and straight, so I found it easier to work around the base and sidewalls of my nails without the need to use a liner brush to get in close enough. I flip my hand over just before putting it in the lamp to let gravity do its job. That ensures a nice level and balanced result. It was very easy to work with. I used two coats on my nails and after curing each layer in my nail lamp I wiped the inhibition (sticky residue) layer off the top with 99 percent ISO (Isopropyl alcohol) *because I was not topping it with another gel product, and then used one coat of regular lacquer topcoat. *NOTE*If you are doing a full gel manicure on top of the Foundation Flex coats, don't wipe the inhibition layer on the Foundation Flex. That layer serves as the surface for whatever gel you use on top of it. Once you complete your gel manicure you would only need to wipe the top coat layer if it isn't a non-wipe gel. Many gel top coats are non-wipe. Always read the product labels and directions. I bought the Light Pink and the Light Nude. Both are pink tones. The Light Pink is a cooler slightly deeper shade and it has a beautiful milky look after two coats. The Light Nude is a softer/lighter pink. Both colors look clean and natural. Both are perfect for French manicures. I included pictures of both products to help with color visualization. I love the finished look. I also love that I can use regular lacquer polishes over it when I want to change the color. As long as you use non acetone remover you can take the regular lacquer off and change it as much as you want. If you use full strength acetone it will slowly eat away at the product so that's obviously not a good idea. The finished products look really beautiful.

Great base coat with color, looks beautiful and natural

I've been using Beetles builder gel but my nails are very thin and bend easily. The nail polish would lift off my nails anywhere between 1-4 days after I applied it. I used this Gelish Foundation Flex and it has been 9 days so far and I have chipped 2 of them, but they've stayed on, and the set looks beautiful, like I just got them done. I'm very pleased. It was expensive, but totally worth the money.

I have never been able to grow my nails long. My natural nails are very brittle and super flexible. I went looking for a nail system that I could do at home because my nails grow fast and I need to get them done every 2-3 weeks. I tried dip powder and polygel but both would chip off or separate from my natural nail in less than 2 weeks. Builder gel is rubber based so it is flexible, buildable, and easy to use. I can grow my natural nail out and with proper nail prep it last 4 weeks. The only thing I have found challenging is removing the product, which I typically file down with an electric nail file. I can't see myself going back to any other nail systems at this point. 5 stars!

This base coat is great for growing out your nails! It works great. Make sure you get a top coat

This is a really good polish and gives a really good base if you don’t want to use a builder, this will give you builder coverage and is easy to work with. The colour is milky pink, so you can layer with pink.

Great for long lasting gel manicures if your natural nails are flexible. Use as a base coat or a couple of layers plus top coat.

Not sure what the difference is in the foundation flex and regular foundation. But will hopefully wear better and last longer.
