A very basic kit. Decals were unuseable.
A rather basic kit. It does have a good overall shape, and finely recessed panel lines. But cockpit detailing is zilch. A simple plank seat for the pilot figure, no floor or instrument panel. It lacks the raised headrest characteristic of Zeroes. Landing gear is spindly, but I built it with gear retracted. The doors fit their openings nice and flush. The plastic is very glossy but takes paint well. The molded colors are odd, wings and horizontal tail are brown plastic, the fuselage and cowling is green. Other parts are one color or the other. The kit has two different instruction sheets, in different formats. The decals, for two different planes, are ruined. The protective cover paper is stuck to the printed decals. I will try to soak the entire sheet to see if I can rescue them, but I ordered a custom sheet JIC.There are several better kits out there. This one is simple enough for beginning modelers, but experienced modelers will curse the lack of detail.
