Dusk to Dawn Area Light - 120W, 15,000 Lumens - Ideal for Yard, Area or Security Light

Bought this unit to replace the CFL unit we had as our yard light, found the unit pretty well built, pretty heavy, did find a small crack in the housing that looked like they tried to fix it but it was located in a non critical area so it presented no concerns but worth mentioning. The lens cover worries me as to whether it is weather tight seeing as I didn’t see a gasket or sealant of any type, once again worth mentioning but not really a concern but only time will tell. Installing was very easy, real quick. Light has been working perfectly for weeks now, and boy is it bright, real bright, our older CFL yard light cannot compare:) The true test will be this winter when we drop below 30 below zero, the older CFL would not come on and we’d have no yard light again until the temp went above 20 degrees, so we are hoping that this unit will stay lit all winter. All in all a real quality built light, so far it’s working great, our electric company suggested this light for us so kudos to them. So if you want an easy to install light that has a very bright white light this one is for you, worth every penny!

Super bright and easy to install. Took about an hour and up and running.

Purchased the 70 watt LED yard light to replace a 150 watt high pressure sodium yard light that got blown off during Hurricane Irma. The HPS fixture was very effective in lighting the entire yard nicely, but I really didn't like the pinkish gold color of the light, the large profile of the fixture, and the large wattage (energy consumption) of the bulb. I have to tell you the new LED fixture has surpassed my expectations in all the above categories. It is every bit as bright, lighting the entire yard effectively, it has a very natural white (daylight) appearance, it is about 2/3 the size of the HPS fixture with a very aerodynamic profile (should survive next Hurricane), and the best part is it uses less than 1/2 the energy of the HPS bulb. I purchased this particular brand and model because it uses Cree brand LED's, they cost a fair amount more than other diodes, but are well worth the difference in quality and service life. If you are looking for a "street light bright" yard light, and value means more to you than price, then this little beauty is the one for you.

Light is fine. I knocked off a star because I wanted a replacement light that I would be able to mount with existing hardware. And after speaking with Superior Lighting Customer service, and ordering exactly what they sid to, I had to cut off the old bolts, drill new holes and put back up. Rather than being a 1/2 hour job, it turned into a few extra hours or running back and forth to hardware store to get a bolt to anchor in. Now if the light will hold up a few years longer than the old one, someone else can put the next one in.

Received this LED light on time and it was packed securely. Hired an electrician to install since I’m 70 and afraid of heights now. It replaced a HPS existing light and I believe it was very easy to install and wire if you aren’t afraid to climb a ladder about 13 feet up. As soon as it arrived I received an email from the seller asking if everything arrived as expected and gave his contact info if I needed further assistance. I was impressed. The light came on a few minutes ago and is it is every bit as bright as my HPS light but is a white light like daytime instead of the yellow previous light. It illuminates the same area in distance as my HPS light. I’m very impressed with this light. I will update in a few weeks or months to let you know of any changes. Well, it has now been 2-1/2 years. No problems to report at all. Same brightness as when first installed. I like the way it just clicks on at dusk and clicks off at dawn. No slowly brightening up as a sodium light. I would definitely buy again Ok, now it’s been almost 5 years and still works like a charm. Never had a minutes with this LED light

My parents have a farm that was so dark at night. They had some motion lights that would come on if you got close enough to them, but they turned off within 15 seconds and it was dark again. They needed something that would light up the farm and make it look like people actually live there. I chose this light when I read it put out up to 10,000 lumens. It was the most powerful barn light I could find and I am so pleased I went with it! The building it went on had an incandescent light that had burned out for several years. I wanted to replace the light with a no-nonsense dusk to dawn light that could be installed and I wouldn't have to worry about it for years! The light it replaced is over 25 feet above the ground, so I had to have a professional electrician install it. The result is there is truly a flood of light! The front of the building the light is attached to lights up the area at least 50 feet to its left and 50 feet to its right and 75 to 100 feet in front. I am truly pleased with how it has brightened up the area. The construction of the metal housing for the light is solid and looks so much better than the 7000 lumen light that had a rougher less smooth finish to the outside of the housing. I give it a solid 5 stars out of 5!

I bought two of the previous version of this light 9 years ago. 1 is still working and 1 quit after 7 years so I bought this newer version about 2 years ago and installed it about 18 months ago. It stopped working a few days ago. Don't waste your money on this junk. The quality that used to be there is gone.

It is like daylight outside now. This light will not disappoint. Almost too bright but you can adjust the brightness. Love it. Getting another for the front yard.
