Bright orange!
Straps are well made and fit perfectly. The bright orange catches your eye and makes it easy to find luggage.

Takes a beating and still works
Simple, great idea to avoid luggage zipper failure from handling abuse when checking a bag. I cinch one of these down to take the tension and pressure off the zipper, especially on big and heavy 28 inch bags, then check them without worry. Without fail when I retrieve the luggage the strap has black stains and rub and scuff marks. So not sure what is beating them up but I’m sure glad they’re on there. In fact I always pack an extra one just in case. Edit 5/2026: well it finally happened, my 28 inch suitcase came down the carousel with this strap missing. Unknown if TSA may have removed it and not taken the trouble to squeeze the bag to get it back on (possible since half the bag was stuffed with birthday gifts and may have looked weird enough to TSA to open), or if it was broken off. Not bad at all considering these were purchased 11/2023 and this exact same strap has been used on various size baggage and more times then I care to go back in history and try to count.. So I’ve decided in the future to place the buckle of the strap directly under the handle where it might be afforded some protection since it is made of plastic and is probably the weak point. Regardless, these straps still earn a five star rating from me, I still have three left and I am sure glad I always packed a spare in the event this happened.

Serves its purpose, has pros and cons
First off, great bright green color, seem sturdy and the plastic parts are fairly thick, good overall quality. There are pros and seemingly cons to these. I just bought my first piece of hard side luggage and read these help prolong the bags life. I wanted to use these to help hold the bag together and use them as an easy marker, since my luggage is a generic color. I just came back from my first trip where I had a ~2hr direct flights each way. I used 2 straps horizontally, if the bag were upright. This bag has a built-in TSA approved lock that I did NOT use. Upon getting my bag in my destination city, one strap was completely missing. And it was obvious my bag had been opened/searched. While it’s possible, I highly doubt the strap broke. I think it’s more likely that whomever opened it couldn’t get it back on and instead of adjusting it a bit, they just didn’t put it back on. On the return trip I put the strap on the same way, but in the middle and looped it through the handle, again not using the lock. It arrived with the strap on, but it was obvious my bag had been opened again. It was suggested that perhaps my bag got searched both times simply because it had the strap/s. I’m not hiding anything in my luggage, but it is a bit annoying when it’s clear someone has gone through/messed up my carefully packed items. I’m going to keep using them, thee straps themselves work well. just be aware you may have a higher chance of being searched and having your personal items gone through.

Highly recommend this purchase
I bought the Chelmon 4-pack of green luggage straps for a family trip, and for under $10 these are incredible value. Each strap is a generous 78 inches long, fitting everything from a small carry-on to a large checked bag. The TSA-approved combination locks are a huge plus—no cutting straps for inspections, and they’re easy to set/reset with the included instructions. Pros: The high-visibility green makes bags easy to spot on the carousel. Material feels sturdy, with a thick nylon weave and a strong buckle that cinches tight without slipping. The 4-pack lets me color-code bags in our group (everyone got different colors, but green works for all). I’ve used them on three flights so far with no fraying or loosening. Cons: The lock dials are a bit stiff at first, requiring precise alignment. Also, the strap length is fixed—no take-up mechanism—so you have to manually feed the excess through the buckle, which is slightly fiddly. Not a dealbreaker, just a minor hassle. Overall, these straps saved my luggage from popping open once when a zipper gave way. For the price, you get security, visibility, and peace of mind. I’d absolutely recommend them to anyone who wants an affordable, reliable extra layer of protection.

Great Idea… Poor Buckle Quality
I was really excited about these straps. I bought 3 packs of 4 in different colors. They felt extremely strong and durable. That is… until I latched the buckles. The plastic buckles would not stay together; pop open with the slightest of pressure applied to the straps. There is no way these would hold you luggage securely close, as they couldn’t hold themselves together long enough to allow you to tighten the strap. I thought this was an isolated incident with one strap, I tried all on the pack (4 in total), and all of them had very weak buckles. I figured it was a bad batch, “trying to prove to myself that I didn’t buy cheap crap from Amazon”. However, all of the remaining straps (8 more, 12 in total from 3 different packs) were just as bad, if not worse. I really don’t understand why I got a bad experience. There seem to be a lot of great reviews about the strength of the straps and buckles. There seems to be quality issues and mix ups when ordering this product from this supplier, please see other reviews. I will have to look for other options for my next trip. I hope this review helps. Please take my advice and look for another product and supplier, as you most likely will not know what you are getting until it is too late. Take care and good luck if you do decide to r”roll the dice” and buy this product.

Use with Caution
Item is form over function. DO use to identify/individualize luggage. DON’T depend on item as primary or necessary closure. Lack of uniformity in strength, durability, and performance of closure.

Sturdy and Secure Luggage Strap – A Must-Have for International Travel!
I recently purchased this luggage strap for my international trip, and it exceeded my expectations in every way. The build quality is excellent—made of durable, heavy-duty material that feels strong and reliable. The buckle is sturdy and snaps securely, giving me peace of mind that my suitcase will stay closed even with rough handling at airports. The adjustable length is a great feature, allowing it to fit different sizes of luggage perfectly. The bright color also makes it easy to identify my bag on the carousel, saving me time and hassle. After multiple flights and baggage handling, the strap remained intact without any signs of wear or loosening. Overall, this is a simple but essential travel accessory that adds an extra layer of security to your luggage. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and well-made luggage strap! Go for it.....

Terrible product!
The straps are not the same as shown! They have a triangular piece of metal next to the buckle ( see pic) that means you can't use them in a straight line making them useless!!!
