Nope. Not at all. The exhaust does not affect smog certification nor does it avoid factory warranty. The full catback exhaust is post cat which is where the o2 sensors are located. Also, this exhaust sounds amazing. Not too loud while driving. You only hear it when you smash on the pedal and there is no drown so you are able to listen to your music or talk to your passengers.

Do I need 4 inches down pipe for the r400 cutback

No you can still have your stock downpipe with the 3 inch invidia exaust. All you have to do is buy the grimmspeed adapter and everything will be perfect
