After reading all the reviews regarding dog donuts and paying close attention to the ones for male dogs , i decided it was worth a go for my newly neutered 5 yr old choc labrador.Have to say we were impressed with it even my dog seems happy in it considering he cant lick his missing crown jewels bless him.I remember seeing a review saying their dog still reached round to the stitches with it on but we are confident he cant. Its inflated to about 80% not to the point of popping so it gives a little when u squeeze it thus making it a bit more comfy for doggy.What he does do however is he can still lick his winky. So at first we were telling him off but actually he couldnt reach the stitches which are further towards his bum so we apologised to him & let him carry on. He was also licking his back paws as dogs do , the point being maybe the other reviewer thought their dog was licking the stitches when they werent?We alternate this donut with a dog pyjama suit at nighttime which he doesnt like he would much rather wear the donut and he even goes over on his back in it too so it must be pretty comfy for him.Just dont let him run off with it when hes not in it in case he bursts it , its just the sort of thing he would do the naughty little sausage!So to summarise , he can reach the tip of his winky but not the stitches in front of his scrotum or his bumhole. He can still lick all 4 paws he definately couldnt do his chest or tummy as the cushions under his chin also the top of his legs too are out of reach. Maybe a different breed with a longer neck and skinnier frame might be a different story im just saying it for my large labrador.Tbh , for the money just buy one & give it a go - anythings better than the cone of shame!

This is a God send. After a stomach and intestines operation (she ate a toy and got it stuck 🙄) her stitches went from one end to the other. I bought her a surgery suit but she licked at them through it and made mess. This was thankfully on a £1.99 same day delivery service and I'm so annoyed I didn't just buy this in the first place.It doesn't bother her at all. She's happy to wear it and rests her head on it for a nap.Its a good quality under a tenner! Velcro fastening, so no fiddling about with buckles or snap together straps. Now she can't reach any of her wound. Shes a Sproodle and I bought a size M.

I’ve been surprised by the quality and durability! My dog has seemed really comfy in his and it’s done the job of stopping him licking at his wound. Easy to blow up the inner and clean the cover too.

This works well, has a Velcro fastener which is strong. Our dog didn’t really scratch it much so I can’t comment on how scratch resistant it is!Looks ok, bright blue and bigger than it looks in photos. Gives your dog better mobility around the house etc than a cone of shame does!

Absolutely useless. Within 2 to 3 hours this has deflated to the extent that it is of no use in protecting the wound site. I had to keep re inflating it as it was far too hot for my dog to wear his post op protective suit. Definitely not recommended

Perfect for my 10 Yr old cockapoo post surgery. He almost liked wearing it and got way more rest than he would have with a cone.

Size guide is completely wrong!!!! The item works as described, however the size is completely different to that advertised. I measured my dogs neck and ordered based on the size guide shown in photos, however the product that arrived had a completely different size guide attached.My dog is now wearing a size that's too big and he can escape from. It's too late to return or exchange as it's needed right now so we'll have to muddle through.

I was impressed with this item as it definitely seems better than a plastic cone and thought it was a great idea but after having to chase my dog around many times to try it on it seems like he rather have the plastic cone than something more comfortable so had to request a return otherwise it seemed ideal for its purposes which is why I still wanted to leave a good review. So for those who have dogs that are more obedient 😁 definitely worth a try 👍Also the size seemed good but that was after reading some other reviews that customers left about the size being different shown on the advertisement than on the leaflet that came with the item which was very helpful as I took the measurements from the photo of the leaflet than the one on the advertisement and seemed to work

It's not a bad cone for a dog if the issue is somewhere below their face.My dog had a small cut that she kept itching and had to wear a cone in order to not get an infection.I purchased this to help her be able to move around and drink water freely and it was great for that but she still managed to scratch her face :/
