HDJ-X5 Professional DJ Headphones - Black

These headphones are for djing! Do not buy them for music production, I've already seen people do this and use them for home listening. Really, they're loud, for a reason, when you're at the club you need to hear the floor, which these headphones perfectly do, they make it very easy to mix, due to them being very loud. Very nice swivel on the ear piece, so I can use one ear without damaging them, very comfy, comes with an adapter, carrying case is light but not the best "case" its literally a bag, but it serves its purpose. For $100, i do think these are worth it for djing, for studio production, go get some near field speakers from pioneer, cause you won't have luck with dj headphones, because their built for the dj atmosphere instead of the home listening bassy environment, therefore I think they are great, buy them if you are on a budget, cause they serve their purpose.

Sound thumbs up, comfort i give it an 8.5 out of 10, quality fair after almost a year the right side driver bracket at pivot point broke off. Screws started falling out. Could not take or handle the rough handling of being on the road. Made mostly out of plastic. Had to buy Pioneer’s pro version of this style of DJ headphones.

If you want to take on Djing and want to learn, this is a great purchase because sound quality and build quality are very good. Design is cool and ultimately will do the job for you if you’re going live.

Great sound, stylish and not too bulky. Unfortunately, my headset fell apart exactly a year to the date of purchase. They actually cracked at the twist part above the ear. But two days later the whole ear piece fell apart. For these to be Dj headsets, you’d think the swivel on the earpiece would be sturdy, but not these. Also if you edit for a long period of time, these will become a bit irritating. For the money, I expected better quality.I just purchased the Rode NRH -100 headset and am awaiting their arrival. I’ll do a review on them after some usage.

Ok so if you are going to use this as a dj you know audio quality is not going to be the most accurate since you have loud music on background. Although the sound great.Cable is good length, they are good quality and heavy duty. I would say the value for money is just perfect.

I can hear so much more detail in every track, with a smooth, pleasant bass that’s never overwhelming.

The sound quality is very good. The 3.5 mm jack feels solid and well made. The cable is long enough for comfortable use with a computer. The headband applies fairly strong clamping force.However, these headphones are not truly “over-ear” but rather “on-ear”. If you have sensitive ears, the pressure can become painful during longer listening sessions. I would recommend them only to people who are comfortable wearing on-ear headphones.
