Jack Parker Saves the World: A Love Story

There’s something about this author’s style that has me completely enchanted. This is a beautiful story that transported me into a number of different worlds . His characterization had me thinking about and actually missing these people when I was completed. I am blown away by the detailed information and research it must have taken to convey the adventure, suspense and imagery in such a realistic way. I rarely read fiction and it was like taking myself on an adventurous vacation. This novel has it all with multifaceted genres - action, love story, life lessons … Its a smooth, yet impactful read. I pray it comes out in a movie and this author continues to write. Just buy it, read it, buy more as gifts for friends, create a book club and have fun with it.

I've known the author for many years but lost track of him over time. When he noted on FB that he had written another book, I thought "Another?" Jack Parker Saves the World is a fantastic read. Throughly enjoyable, even if you don't know Bill. Writing a story that is cogent and connects the reader to the characters is a skill few have. I can't recommend this book enough.

I loved this book. Loved Jack and his view of the world. Loved the two timelines—took a minute to figure them out but made it more interesting. My husband is a reader and I thought he might like it so I shared it with him. He really enjoyed it and unbeknownst to me shared it with his son, who enjoyed it so much he shared it with his college-age daughter who also enjoyed it. Many have written about the plot and style. My point is That it speaks to a variety of ages and both women and men. Keep writing Bill!!

Received this book as a Christmas gift and was intrigued by the title. Finished the book early this morning and LOVED it!! Very well written ~ I love the way the author intertwined the past and the present to reveal the entire picture in a way that kept me completely engaged and was easy to follow! I'll be sharing it with my husband as it is equal parts action and romance but not cheesy. I'm using my Christmas gift card to order Hollywood, Texas from the same author.

This entertaining, well-written novel cleverly alternates chapters dealing with an event that happens in 2021 and a love story that begins in 2029, and readers will find themselves cheering for the protagonist in both enterprises. Although it is the tale of a fictional space mission of epic proportions and a sweet romance, there are factual glimpses into history, geography, NASA, and pop culture. It is definitely a page-turner!
