Is the picture show the shorts inside out? Do these make you look like a Baboon butt?

The picture is inside out. It's done to show you the padding. It's a bit of an optical illusion. Plus the padding contracts a bit when you have them on.

Can you wear these by themselves?

I stopped at Walgreens and it was so hot outside on a 60 mile trip that I remembered that I had on some biker shorts, red. I got out of my truck and pulled my jeans off, facing a stop light and heavy traffic. After I checked out a girl was coming in and asked a question. I don't remember what the conversation was but I said, " I know I probably look like Hell". She said, "no you don't. You look GREAT! I didn't know what to say, but how do you think I felt? I was 50 and she couldn't have been 25. I believe the shorts did it. I won't be a deer in the headlights next time. Probably never will.
