Cheapest neopixel light saber on the market!
Long story short, if you can get this during one of their sales it's worth it just for the pixel saber blade technology alone. (If the listing does not say "pixel" or "neopixel" in the title, you are getting a cheaper blade.)Caveat: The swing sounds were sometimes working or not working on my first saber. I emailed customer support and a new saber arrived at my doorstep in 2 days. Never seen customer service that quick before! If I could give 4.5 stars I would change it to that. For the lightsaber beginners, the main advantage with the "pixel" or "neopixel" saber over the cheaper "RGB" lightsabers: You get individually controlled LED's along the length of the blade, so you can perform extension and retraction effects that you can't do with RGB lightsabers. The light intensity is also consistent along the entire blade and doesn't fade like the RGB sabers which only emit at the base. Just be careful to not strike the blade hard or else the LED's in that section may go dead. What you get in the box:alum. hilt with w/internal rechargeable battery and USB-C charging cord.VERY bright neopixel blade w/12 color choices and rainbow bonus color. Blade is setsrewed to the hilt, so doesn't wobble at all while you swing it.Audible extend/retract sounds (which sounded just like the movies)swing sounds (which are very short and delayed so keep that in mind. for others this would probably warrant a 4-star rating)volume mute controlwhat features you don't get:constant hum during operation (don't mind not having this, gets annoying over time)No clash/blaster deflect/tip drag lighting features (definitely a feature only for sabers in the $150-200 range)ability to load custom soundsmotion on/off controlcustom color choiceQuality:quality is ok, some dim light spots along the blade lighting but not noticeable. I don't have a high end saber to compare.some scratches at the top of the hilt in the bare aluminum parts.I could not get the clash sounds to work even though it is advertised. Not really important to me anyway.

Nice design and solid construction
This is a perfect addition to your toy or cosplay collection. I was a bit worried after receiving the box because it felt a little light so I was afraid it was going to feel cheaply made but once I opened it and held it in my hand, I was really surprised at how solid it actually feels. It has some weight to it which is comforting because it feels like it was made to last. The light options are nice and the transitions between colors are really smooth. The instructions are straight and to the point on how to operate it, not that there’s much to it anyways but I feel like anybody can figure it out. There is a mute option which is nice because you’re not always in the mood for the sounds. I haven’t been able to get the “clank” sound from it as if you were in a fight but it definitely has the sound of you swinging it around, shutting it down, and turning it on. I’m not even sure if it’s supposed to make that particular sound of battle but I would assume so. Upon further inspection I don’t think it makes that sound, unfortunately. I like it best on mute anyways. Regardless, if you’re looking for a less expensive replica of the heavy duty brand name, this should be right up your lane. I’m happy with my purchase.

Super bright lightsaber with ultra-cool, blade in/blade out feature just like movie
So I spent a lot of time researching the different models out there, and although there are plenty of more expensive versions out there, I can’t believe that the actual blade brightness and blade turning on and off just like the movies is any cooler than what I have now for a lot (like $150 to $250) less money. Now, full disclosure, I, like at least a few other people it seems looking at other reviews, found that the sound quality is not as overwhelmingly awesome as the visual impressiveness of the blade itself - in fact, my saber did not make the swooshing sound when you swung the sword (one of the features that was supposed to be included) but when this fact was shared with the company, what followed was the best experience I have ever had with a company’s customer service department and effortless exchange with their representative, who responded quickly to my emails and with little very effort (or even having to make an official request), as soon as I had sent video proof of the defective sound feature, offered and set up for delivery a replacement to be sent without delay. I couldn’t believe how understanding and responsible they have been for ensuring my satisfaction with my purchase. To be honest, even without the sound, which did work for every other feature advertised, the blade itself and how it unfurls in and out (which is only possible via the NEO PIXEL technology, so if that is important to you which it should b/c it is what makes the saber so realistic, do NOT buy anything that does not include that in the description— any hilt lit blade will not have this feature), is what blew everyone away that I showed it to (including non-Star Wars fans or crusty old people who unimpressed by anything); to a man (or woman), everyone was floored by the look and in particularly that feature of this lightsaber. Oh yeah, you can cycle through what seems to be more than 10 different colors so you can be either bad guy (ie, red blade ala Darth Vader and the Sith) to blue blade for Luke Skywalker, episode IV or his green blade in Return of the Jedi, or even Mace Windu’s purple blade, all the way to who ever else with whatever color, all of which are bright and electric and awesome to see lift up as it grows from where you grip it and up, up, up to the top just like in movies (AND TO BE SURE — the sound worked perfectly each time for that which is really the only one I HAD TO HAVE, sound wise), and as such, with the understanding that the rest of the sound is neither overwhelmingly loud or as impressive as the saber itself, which again is pretty amazing, for the price, I very much recommend this be a first purchase in order to get a feel for this type of product, and will give you a great start in the understanding of the particular features that may be important to you so that you can use that when deciding to upgrade and spend so much more money so that you aren’t disappointed in your purchase. But even as a stand-alone (meaning not looking to upgrade), I think this is a great product and even better company that is both honest and trustworthy, which is so important (and rare) when purchasing something that few people around you have any experience to guide you to purchase something worth having, which I believe this certainly is.Thank you again, HOCET for offering, and standing behind your product, and caring so much about my satisfaction in purchasing this Neo-pixel (lighted) lightsaber.
