Scent is fine and not too strong. Works great on my curly hair. A bit pricey of course, but helps my curly hair. I do use leave in conditioner as well.

Excellent shampoo. It is worth the money. It helps add curl to your hair if that’s what you want. And it smells good. It also hydrates your hair and gives it a shine. There is no greasy buildup.

Love this shampoo. I have a chemical perm and this shampoo is light and lathers great. Doesn't feel heavy on my hair and rinses out completely. Definitely worth the price!

I was able to try out this anti-build up shampoo from L’Oréal as it showed up on my Vine feed (free products for honest reviews). This is the second shampoo I’ve picked out from L’Oréal’s Curl expression line and I got to say I am so impressed. This line is a salon quality line for curly hair types (I have wavy hair, so it works well for me). This shampoo is an anti build up shampoo and I felt it did a good job cleaning my hair. It isn’t clarifying, which I liked, as it did not dry out my hair. It is sulfate free, so that is also a plus. It left my hair clean, yet hydrated. I absolutely love the way my hair smelled the next morning and liked how it left my waves looking. I am very happy with this line and with this shampoo. I would definitely purchase.

I absolutely loved this shampoo. I have curly hair, and this shampoo is perfect for my needs. I have a lot of volume and I have a medium texture. What I liked: -When I first used it it felt soft and it smells great. -You don’t need a lot of product to clean in depth, it’s very creamy. -Cleanses scalp and hair equally well -Moisturizing formula, my curly hair tends to be very dry and this shampoo nourishes and strengthens my curls. -It's sulfate-free, silicone-free and paraben-free, to keep your curls looking healthy. -Cleanses gently, I’ve been using tons of shampoos that strip my hair, this one is very gentle. -After use it, I didn’t feel the need to use a conditioner, It left my hair very soft and shiny. What I don’t liked: -It’s pricey. This is definitely a luxurious and great shampoo, suitable for all types of curls. I highly recommend it!!!

You can definitely tell the difference after using this anti buildup shampoo. Of course, that's if you truly have a lot of buildup. This stuff clarifies your hair soooo good, but without the use of sulfates and silicones. My experience with clarifying shampoos is that although it does remove all the gunk that builds up on your scalp and into the follicles of your hair, it leaves your hair DRY. You need to immediately follow up with a super hydrating, deep conditioner or hair masque treatment. Although it is recommended to do so with this L'Oréal Professionnel Curl Expression Anti Buildup Shampoo, I found that the length of time I leave the conditioner or hair treatment in my hair, is LESS because the shampoo is already very hydrating as it is. Not as hydrating as a conditioner, of course, but it just leaves your hair feeling nice after one simple step. I believe that products cannot work miracles after only 1 or 2 uses, it does take time and effort on your part to revive those curls. Stick with it! Develop a routine and be consistent with it. Be flexible when needed. Learn as much as you can about your hair and curl types. While one product might work for you, it may not for someone else. However, this shampoo has been working great for me! The smell of it is VERY strong. If you're sensitive to smells like perfume, this may not be a good idea for you. However, once I lather it in my hair, it does quickly go away. Or at least, I think it does? Maybe I quickly get used to the smell, I don't know, but I'm not too sensitive to smells. Is this worth the current asking price of $37.65 (marked down from $39.50) .... I don't think so. This is such a ridiculously expensive shampoo and for the amount you get, I just can't wrap my head around it. It's an amazing hair product, yes, but it isn't made with flecks of gold. If it was double the quantity of product, then yes, I'd think it's worth it.
