Great craft knife with multiple blades types and extra replacements
I was looking for a really good quality craft knife and came across this brand. Before buying this Olfa brand, I was contemplating on a Swann Morton, but I’m glad I decided on purchasing the Olfa. It was exactly what I was looking for because it comes with three different types of blades, the pointed angled tip, a rounded scalpel tip, and a chisel tip. Some other brands only sell their craft knives with one type of blade and others don’t give you extra replacements, but this gives you both, three types of blades and replacements. For the price and for what you get, it’s a great deal. This knife has a nice sharp blade and the handle has a good weight to it and feels balanced. It’s light on the handle end, but heavy at the blade end. The padded rubber grip also provides a comfortable non-slip grip which is important when you have to do a lot of precision cutting. The handle is made of a sturdy plastic that feels like it will last. The knife also has a sturdy plastic cap with a groove for alignment and stays snugly on the blade end when not in use. The extra blades come in a very small case enough to fit the blades so both the knife and extra blades can be stored almost anywhere. The print on the back is all in Japanese, but that’s not a problem because I used a translate feature on my phone. I was very pleased to find this craft knife since I bought it specifically to use for cutting fine details out of wax seals and it performed perfectly. The blades are easy to change out and stays firmly in place. I would buy this again, even just to have a spare or just so I can have a second one with one of the other blade types attached.

Great Knife, Japanese Quality!
This is the standard OLFA craft/hobby knife with the plastic handle and spare blades included. Although it has a plastic handle this is excellent knife with Japanese quality. On the blade end is a rubber grip for a solid hold on the knife. On the end of the handle is a little nub that keeps the knife from rolling around. I removed the barrel to reveal the blade holding mechanism. Disregard that the blade I show in my photos is all chewed up. This is an older blade I had put on the knife. It of course came with brand new blades. If you look at my photos, you can see the engineering that went into this, right down to the small tension spring. The knife will also accept any standard hobby knife blade from other manufacturers. Very good hobby knife.

Love It! It Is Better Than All Other Art Knives
I was in such a battle over purchasing this product. Although I have used much larger Olfa Brand knives to build architectural models and such and they've never let me down when I genuinely needed them to do what others could not. I was introduced to this brand - but only the much larger knife cutters - at the architecture firm I worked during a particularly important project bid. As I had a lot of experience creating architecture models and presentation boards, etc, I had thought that the tools I used were the only and best option. Even though They'd cut my fingers, go dull very quickly and they would eat up many blades simply trying to cut materials they were supposed to Be strong enough to cut. (You name the brand, I've used them). But Olfa, wow! I was sold the first time I cut easily through a thick piece of gator board. (Anyone who knows that material understands.) But again, those were the bigger above mentioned Olfa cutting knives. Would Olfa hold true with this much smaller art knife? Upon using for only a day, I wholeheartedly say yes! This smaller pen-knife version is just as strong, more enduring, just as precise, and all around well made for cutting any material any it's competitors claim. But it does it BETTER! Since that first day, I will and have only used this brand for all my art knife needs. I know you will too!

OLFA for life, probably.
I have a lot of hobbies from miniature crafting to carving, and OLFA is often my number 1 go to. The blades are so crisp and stays sharp for a while so I find it perfect for detailed cutting work. This particular model is a little bit bigger and slightly weighted toward the head of the blade unlike the other OLFA craft-blades I usually use which makes it a bit easier on the hand. The rubber cushion on it is a nice QOL too since I tend to really grip when I'm making detailed cuts(the other metal ones can irritate after I keep pushing on it for a little too long). The one thing I wouldn't use it for is for heavy cutting like cardboard boxes since the blades are so good for precise cutting it'd be kind of a waste; not that it can't be used that way but I think there are better blade types for that.

My new favorite hobby knives.
I recently bought an OLFA razor saw set and was blown away by the quality. So I ordered this set. Not only are the handles nice but the blades are leaps and bounds better than traditional US offerings like exacto and excel. And the prices are better as well because the OLFA sets come with spare blades. This set, 157B includes 7 blades total. You get the pre installed blade plus 6 spares, 2 each of 3 types. I'm ordering another as soon as I finish this review.

much better design than the X-ACTO handle
Grips the blade very securely, yellow so it doesn't get lost in all the clutter and does not roll (and land blade first in my foot). So good I bought a second one.

Easy to use, good design
The handle design and weight balance is great. I use this product because of the handle design....it will not roll or shift, and the hand feel is good for hours of use. Professional quality at a reasonable price.
