I have two of these chargers. i trust anker. my iphone 14+ gdets very hot when i use these chargers. also, are they apple cert’d?

Apple certification is probably a no, they would have advertised it. But as you said, Anker has been pretty reliable for years now. As for the heat, these newer iPhone models have the ability to charge up to 50% in 30mins or so if the power is available to do it, and this tiny thing delivers 30 Watts, so yeah, it will get pretty hot doing that. But mine has been working fine for several months now.

Would this work for iphone XR?

You need a USB-C to lightning cable, not USB-A

Will this harm older iPhone models?

No, it won’t. Even with older iPhone’s, they have optimized battery charging, which slows down the charging once it hits 80%. Even then, if OBC doesn’t work, most iPhone batteries have enough technology in them that it won’t hurt long term.
