Saved me from dying in the desert sun.
I bought this "sunbrella" for a trip that I took to Las Vegas at literally the peak of 115°F summer a couple years ago and let me tell you, it was a life saver. Having the two layers with the reflective layer on the outside and the black layer on the inside was actually such a great design because it offered two layers of protection from the sun, heat, and UV. Having the white layer on the outside meant most of the light was reflected off the top, and the black layer inside absorbed the rest, giving you better shade than a traditional single-layer rain umbrella. It kept me so much cooler and it made waiting outside a convention center so much more bearable in the Las Vegas heat. The auto-open and close button works great, and the umbrella opens large enough for two people to use while folding small enough to put in a purse or bag. I use it as my main carrying umbrella in my work bag and will take it out during the hot, sunny days in the summer or cold, rainy days of the winter. The material has held up well over the last two years and I haven't had any issues with it. Highly recommend!

A Florida life necessity
I have reviewed this each time I have bought it. I frequently visit DisneyWorld in the summer. Although small, it blocks me from the intense Florida summer sun and keeps me from over heating or burning

Sun Umbrella
Nice umbrella, but somehwat heavy and it opens to full size, if thats what your prefer. It is a little challenging to close. It appears to bock the sun' s rays, unlike my other 'Sun' umbrella.

Very Easy to uses
This is an excellent product, it works very well and protects from ultraviolet rays, it closes and opens on its own, which is a very good thing, I recommend it to everyone.

This works!
I never thought I would need something like this but someone recommended it to me since I was going to a sporting event where there was no shade. This little umbrella was amazing. It folds up like any other small umbrella so it fit easily into my bag. The UV shiny fabric really blocks the sun. There was another person there with a regular umbrella and this was so much better at blocking the sun and keeping me cool. Well worth it and I was really glad I'd listened to my friend and bought it before my trip. This will now stay in my sport bag.

Prefect for the sun
Recently carried this at a garden on a very hot day. It kept me cooler and I didn't worry about reapplying sun screen. I like that it also functions as a rain umbrella, although I haven't used it for that yet. This is a must to keep you cool. It's pretty and light. I put it in the waterbottle holder on my bag when inside.

Fragile garbage, broke within 60 days
My dermatologist suggested that I take additional steps for UV protection due to a family history of skin cancer, and I received this parasol in late August. After less than two months of regular use in the Texas summer, it has already broken, and no longer closes properly. The cheap metal framing bent, and one of the hooks that holds it shut tore right through it. It felt cheap and poorly-made to begin with, but I was expecting it to at least last more than 90 days. Just complete trash. No warranty, either, and past the Amazon return period. I suppose my expectations were high for a $20 parasol but it's not worth five. If you need something for UV protection and you plan on using it more than once a week, spend more money and look elsewhere.

Needs Ventilation
I was excited to buy a sun-brella for staying cool at summer lacrosse games. The variety of "under" colors are really fun and add character/personalization to the umbrella. It's heavier than I expected. It's difficult to get it back in the sleeve after opening, but if you roll it really tightly, it will go back in. It's the typical size of a small umbrella when it's folded up and it fits nicely in a backpack. I regret not finding an umbrella with ventilation. The silver seemed to absorb heat and then it was trapped in the top of the umbrella...right where my head was. I felt so hot. It provides shade, but if it's too hot or humid out, I prefer to get the sun exposure over being overheated in the umbrella.
