I am between a Medium and a Wide width, and a 9.5 shoe. I also have swollen toes from inflammatory arthritis, and a high instep. I ordered the size 10, and they barely fit me on the velcro across the top; but they DO fit. If you are like me, I would recommend ordering 1.5 sizes up. I wish I would have got the 11. But if you aren't as complicated as me, I'd say these are pretty true to size. The sole is firm foam but has some give. I recommend these so far. I will report back if my mind changes.Edit: I just tried them again with my RA swelling and they are unusable. Returning.

I bought these for a terminally ill family member who is fighting constant infections on her legs and her feet are always bandaged and very swollen. We had tried dozens of slippers that didn't work for various reasons until I came across these. They fit perfect and she finally has sonethjng to wear over her very sore, bandaged, swollen feet!

Fit like a dream & are washable. If your feet are a bit swollen side fastener easy to adjust. This is my second pair, as I loved them so much.

I bought these for my 95 year old Mom who needed an open-toed slipper. She loves them! I love them too because they fit securely on her foot (won't fall or slip off), and the sole is thick and sturdy and provides a good buffer between her foot and the floor. The large velcro tab is easy to fasten and unfasten, even with hands that don't work so well anymore. I'm so grateful I found these on Amazon!
