can you attach this to the coop so the egg baskets can open on the outside of the coop and chickens enter from the other side

You could try it, but as such, it is not made to be attached that way. The holes for the screws and attachments are on the flat back side. You could try to make a cut-out in the coop and place it on the floor or in some way for it to stay upright, but it wouldn't be sturdy.
