Compared to some other known named brans that have fillers this takes and roots well compared to them.. just have to keep watering. I have clay crap soil and this sprouted and rooted quickly.

Used for overspreading in spring with plenty of rain seemed to sprout fine. Zone 7

I bought 2 bags to cover about 300 sq.ft for $90 and might as well have thrown it in the compost.I put down quality compost and poked holes 1/2" down, spread and covered the seed.Watered every morning and if the heat was up, at night as well.2 weeks, 3, 4, 5 and not a single blade of grass!!!!Contacted "The manufacturer" no answer and didn't think I would but if they read their own product reviews, they can see clearly that they have a serious quality issue as others have also reported, "Not a single blade of grass".What a disappointment. Time and money lost!!! Now I have to wait until next year.But you can bet I will not choose Barenbrug.... Barren-burg is more like it.

Will always use

I have not seen this stuff pop up yet, but it does say it takes 30 days to germinate. However the reason I'm not rating as a 5 is because it has blue fertilizer on every seed. Maybe I just have a pessimistic attitude towards businesses, but it seems like they'd put that on there so they can give you less seed. I've notice some dead birds in the yard lately and I'd wonder if this stuff had anything to do with it. I just wanted grass seed, I have a worm bin and can just use my worm castings to fertilize. Anyways, I'm not going to rate this any lower or higher, everything showed up on time and I'm sure it will grow. eventually. It was a good price for what you get

Perfect for lawn repairs

Had some excavation , and used this Bluegrass seed for permanent over the contractors seeding , which is fescue and rye . It was up and a couple of inches tall in about 3 weeks . Next year it should be beautiful .

Was what we asked gor

The grass seeds germinated in about 5 or 6 days in pots or containers. The grass seeds are uncoated. The blugrass has fine even leaves. Germination was very good. As of now the color is relatively light but the grass is only a few weeks old. Excellent grass seed and I would buy iy again.
