Handle the pieces with care as they're rather delicate! The instructions ask you to wax some pieces so they move effortlessly, I used clear shoe wax as I didn't have any candle handy - don't miss this step! Be careful not to insert the long pieces wrong, I had to undue one after lots of progress and risked breaking it, otherwise utterly enjoyable. I think this is good value for money because it's very well done, however bear in mind that the final craft is rather small, it stands at approx. 12cm. Difficulty it's low, I'd say entry level, few pieces, fast to assemble -not including the waxing time-. Would most likely buy more from this seller, and recommend for your own entertainment or as a gift. Happy customer here :)

Bought this wooden clock to make during lockdown. The pack is quite small and the pieces are all on two wooden boards with numbers attached to each piece. The instructions are just small images and quite hard to see and sometime difficult to understand. Saying that I managed to complete it. Some of the pieces did break slightly whilst trying to put them in, even though I was being super careful and not heavy handed. Plus some were stubborn and not cut the best so they were hard to put in. It took about 2 hours to make and it looks good and all the parts move. Not sure how well a child would get on with it though due to the lack of clear instructions and hard to place pieces sometime.

Really loved this little item. For anyone enjoying a challenge, there are plenty of components to assemble, to make a working version of illustrated item. An added pleasant surprise, is that the item is manufactured in the Ukraine, so delighted to help support that nation while acquiring a lovely gift as well.

Fun to make. Looks great. While building I broke one piece but I think they expected that as I have two of them in the pack. Very happy with it. Was a fun task to do Christmas eve

This was a gift for my dad who loves building things like this. But when it arrived I was a bit disappointed. It was really small and I though it was a bookmark! I didnt think it looked like the price reflected especially as it was a gift it looked a bit rubbish. However, after my dad had assembled it, the end product did look really good and he enjoyed making it.

Really enjoyed putting this together, as it's one of the more thoughtfully designed and precisely made kits I've tried. Super-rigid pieces, very helpful instructions, and they even put in a little spindle to help you get parts out and reach into the innards to fix anything that needs adjustment. Beautiful designs too, especially when the shapes play against each other as you operate the gears. Note that I bought this clock because it was so cheap compared to other kits, but realized why when it arrived - the box was pretty small, comparable to, say, a couple of large stacked iPhones. Ultimately though, it was just as fun to assemble, and ends up having having that very cute, intricate feel in the mold of a Faberge egg.

Pros: Great sales price for what you get. The wood doesn't feel cheap and is good thickness. Love the design and was simple to follow. Make sure to wax where needed and if not sure do it anyway. Otherwise it could crack. The gears do work well. I like the size , not too small or big. Cons: the bottibase gear doesn't move the top gears well. I have to turn the middle larger gear to get it going . Not big deal , but wish it did work. The connecting pieces need waxing and make sure in right direction or it will chip / crack the wood. The wood is a good thickness but some parts are difficult to pop out , be careful. I use a Popsicle stick to push them out. All and all I would suggest and get againbfor someone else. I'm beef and thats what i bought.
