Hard to get under siding but works

My siding contractor expressed doubt, because our new, beautiful and very expensive composite siding has a different rear profile than vinyl, but these worked perfectly with Everlast composite. I am determined to avoid drilling holes for the various items to be attached to the walls. Our siding is a dark blue spruce with black trim, so the availability of black hooks is great for every item that has an exposed hook. Easier than drilling, moveable and reusable. I have no doubts about the 25 lb weight rating, which I suspect is more about the strength of the siding than the clip. Composite siding is so much stronger than vinyl that it surely won’t be an issue. So far, I have hung only a light weight solar address panel and a 17 pound wall sculpture but both are secure, level and stabile.

I ordered this to help support a trellis that is anchored in the ground but needs an anchor at the top to keep it close to the house. The trellis weighs 12lbs. Unfortunately the siding clips do not support enough weight to solve my problem. The clips work fine for lighter weight items like decorative lights or signage.
