Can a water bottle fit?

If you put a small water bottle if it you would not bot hold anything else. This is really a small purse.

What is the measurement of the top handles? Large enough to sling on forearm?

It is approx 21/2 to 3 “ high. I don’t think it would fit on your forearm; I can barely put my hand thru it. I do carry it and use it as a cross body. It is a great bag for small day trips or a night out. It fits quite a bit of stuff for its size. I use it regularly.
