This protector has a smooth surface for cleaning unlike some others which are a mesh design. It protects the glass surface from scratches and works efficiently with our induction pans. I have not used the hob without the mat so am unable to give a comparison to use without the mat.This is the second one I have bought due to moving house, I did find that over time the mat discolored slightly in areas perhaps due to the inevitable spills but this in no way affected the performance.An excellent and well designed product, worth the money due to it's longevity.

Used a few times already and seems to work fine. Installation was easy but fiddly because it's tacky. I cut it to shape and used the scraper that came with it to remove air bubbles but no matter how much I work the bubbles out they just don't go. The worst of them are on the crease lines where the sheet was folded. I cleaned the hob prior to fitting and yet somehow there's a few lumps where dust, etc are stuck underneath. I find that it's easy to catch and edge and left it up while cooking too. Not the end of the world, just annoying.There are no real instructions either. I know it's simple to work out what to do but what exactly are the snap-back wrist band for and the sheet with different shaped stickers. There's no explanation.I know it shows cutting with scissors on here but I'd recommend a sharp Stanley knife or similar as they give a cleaner edge.

This product is actually amazing. It's totally protected my brand-new induction hob, and is so easy to clean. Ingenious really that you can cook over it. Unfortunately, after not a lot of use, it is beginning to peel in the centre of one of the cooking areas. If this hadn't happened I would give it 5 stars. Don't know if this is a one-off/defective mat, or if others have experienced it too? I'm going to turn it around to use another section so that it still protects my hob, until I need to find another.

The product works as stated.The pans do not slip or slide once put on there.As everyone as stated so far as it covers the controls you cannot see them. Yes I know you can cut the mat.Not sure if this is possible for the supplier but if they can get measurements for the induction hobs that are available and cut the mat to their size showing the controls or somehow having a visible piece where the controls are and can be controlled through the mat would make it even more better.

I couldn’t believe my eyes when it went on Fire there was an awful smell and when I lifted the cover there were flames. I just opened the door and threw it out into the garden. I dread to think what would have happened if I’d have left the room.I will be returning this item and expect a full refundI will also be looking for my hob to be replaced if I can not get it back to the way it was. Please do not buy this product it is highly dangerous.

I bought this to cover my new induction hob. Effectively it gives me extra worktop space and it looks good too. Unfortunately I have three hairy moggies who care nothing for hygiene and walk all over it all the time. I've found the best way to remove the hair is with one of those lint roller things that gets cat hair off your clothes. Then a quick wipe over with an antibacterial spray and you're good to go. Definitely recommend. I can't comment on heat resistance because I've never put it to the test. I just want it to protect my hob when not in use.

Large enough to cover 4 ring induction hob. Easy to cut. Heat coes through well. It is easy to wipe with a damp cloth but you cannot wipe with anything dry as it is quite sticky. All in all pleased with it as a protector but will probably get a glass/ceramic cover as well.

I have recently purchased this magnetic cooktop mat & use it every day. I'm impressed for the following reasons: it covers entire cooking surface protecting from scratches & if something should fall on stove top it would limit damage. I feel comfortable using it as it stays in place & pots do not move on it. Very easy to clean. I highly recommend it as good value for the money.

In meiner Küche sieht es optisch gut aus. Aber viel wichtiger, mein Kochfeld kann ich ganz normal benutzen, ohne dass es verkratzt, oder verschmutzt. Super Teil

Je l ai posé sur ma plaque neuve après l avoir légèrement coupée. Je suis ravie de ce choix et ma plaque est en sécurité
