The shark pro 500 internal filter
I ended up getting the shark pro 500 internal filter because i needed something quiet , powerfull and adjustable, i honestky couldn't have chosen better. The shark pro 500 by sicce is honestky so quiet you dont even notice it running while submerged in the tank. Its incredibly easy to set up because its held onto the glass by using 2 magnets, they are really strong and will hold it in place perfectly. It comes with a venturi system that pumps more oxygen into your water threw the standard filter outlet. If that doestsuit your fancy theres a built in spray bar in the filter head that i find myself using 24/7. The filter flow is 100% adjustable from low to full flow with a dial on the top of the filter. The entire filter is helt together with magnets and i cant find it more convenient for cleaning. And dont forgwt the crazy long cord so you can put it litteraly anywhere on any aquarium. Id deffinetly recommended a shark pro as a great filter, it not olny looks great but keeps my water clear as can be.

Another awesome sicce product.
All sicce products are unusually well designed and engineered. The tidal line is a perfect example. The shark pro reflects the same philosophy. In my opinion there is nothing close to this internal filter. Itโs large enough to be efficient but designed so that it is inconspicuous visually. The ease of maintenance is outstanding.

Great, except for the magnets on this size.
I do love this filter. I had purchased other sizes and was hoping this was going to be just as good. They need to improve the magnets on this size! It doesn't have strong enough magnets.

Good ideas, poor execution
I wanted to like this filter, but it was just too problematic. The magnets are much better than suction cups, however to keep the magnets from interfering with the impeller (I'm guessing), the pump housing is way too big. There is a ton of wasted empty space in there, and the rest of the filter is made huge to match. The spray bar is a cool feature, but it doesn't lock, so it is constantly sliding open and closed whenever you handle the pump. Mine was not silent and made a gurgling noise I could not fix.. probably air trapped in the massive housing. Overall, a nice mounting system with a clumsy, awkward filter attached to it.

Excellent filer, no issues at all and filterโs the aquarium fantastically. Worth the purchase.

I wanted to love it.
I'd like to start off by saying that this is an amazing filter in terms of ingenuity. Perhaps too much ingenuity is what killed it for me. If you like to use filter floss in your filters to polish the water, this is not the filter for you. This is a course sponge filter only. I replaced the 2 small sponges with identically sized filter floss cutouts. I've used this stuff in $15 no name submersible filters and never had output issues. The Sicce Shark PRO 500 (rated up to 37 gallons? Which fantasy land is this?) in my 20H clogs CONSTANTLY. I believe this to be caused by the fact that for some reason they chose to go with only the 2 side faces intaking and left the front and back face of the filter flat and closed off, AND the sponge is only half open to these side faces!? My tank is understocked and well maintained weekly. There is no reason I should be having constant clogging in a filter at this price point. The built in spray bar? Forget about it. My tank as it stands is relatively algae free (outside of the one off strand of hair algae that pops up on my java moss here and there). The brown slimy algae that notoriously lives in your filter will clog those tiny holes in a weeks time in my experience. So I switched to the venturi output nozzle. Worked amazing for about a week. Now all the same, constant clogging and low output. I just deep cleaned my filter today. Cleaned media, scrubbed out any gunk, ran brushes through the outlet and deep cleaned the impeller. It has been 7 hours and my output has already started to drop by around 50 percent. I have had to change media so often to keep the flow rate up that I have partially crashed the cycle of a tank that's been running like clockwork for years with no name filters. I'm extremely unsatisfied with this filter. I wanted to love it. All of the fishtuber videos praising how amazing it is seem to me to just be paid sponsor spots. Really let down as I feel like I just spent 60+ dollars on a filter that underperforms just about every other filter I own. If you only want basic mechanical filtration, should work fine I WOULD HOPE. I expect higher quality and more flexibility in a high dollar filter from a brand as reputable as SICCE.

Solid Filtration system
I use this as a roving filter to add carbon or purigen and remove meds from any tank I've had to medicate. It's quick and easy to install and moves a lot of water through it. It would be just fine as a primary filter on most small/medium tanks based on how it's performed for me. The flow is probably too strong for a Betta tank, so please be aware of that.
