Many tube failures occur at the valves. These have steel valve housings and a nut to secure them to the rim. The extra quality of these inner tubes make these much more reliable. They are racing quality, for utilitarian or touring applications.

Good tire tube and price

I installed these on my Schwinn Trailway today. They were easy to install and seem very well made. Nice and thick. Much better than the cheap Chinese tubes. The metal valve stem and nut are great. No more trying to pull the rubber stems out to fill the tire. I hope they hold air longer than the other tubes.

The quality of these "standard" tubes from Schwalbe, are better than the recent purchases I made at my local bike shop of "standard" tubes from two other well-known bicycle manufacturers. There is no question that bicycle inner tubes have deteriorated in quality just in the last few years. While most tubes are all made in China, in the same factory and probably to the same quality specs--it is clear that the "standard" tubes being made today, are of a much thinner and less robust quality of material than those made just a year or so ago. All four of the other two well-known brands I purchased at my bike shop, exploded and ripped down the seam of the tire. I used a rim liner, I used 'green slime', I slowly pumped air into the new tube and gently installed in the rim--no avail, they exploded upon just 20 PSI. I hope the Schwalbe lasts. So far, so good. I successfully installed my first inner tube from Schwalbe and had a great ride yesterday. I'll report back on durability. Summer riding can be brutal.

I grew up in the Arizona desert. I raised 9 children. I built bikes as a kid. That's a lot of fixing flat tire. Goat heads do it repeatedly too! So, yes, I've replaced and patched tubes too. However, never until now have I gotten excited over inner tubes. Nope, not even the slime filled tubes. I literally got excited about these Schwalbe inner tubes. Schwalbe is outstanding. The rubber is thicker. The valve stem threads all the way down the stem and retaining screw-ring are amazing allowing for the stem to be secured protecting against the stem getting sideways and sheared off. Even the valve stem cap is Premier quality, clear, and cool looking. The best quality inner tube I've ever purchased in my lifetime, and paid less than competitors. It cost less than any at Walmart and definitely less than a bike shop. I will ALWAYS by Schwalbe from now on. Yes, these fit perfectly. I highly insist you buy these, instead of patching even, you will have greater peace of mind too. I would patch a Schwalbe, because I am increasing the life of a higher quality product, not helping a poorer quality tube punish me again. Schwalbe all the way, every time for me. No, I'm not paid to review these. I paid for these for my wife's Schwinn bicycle. Mine will get these too.

Love the threaded valve stem. No more struggling to get pump attached when deflated or low on air

I have 32c tires on aero-style rims on a hybrid bike. The base of the schrader valve is too wide. That extra width pushes against the tire and rim, so the stem must recess into the volume of the tube and not against the rim. This results in the stem being too short. If I move the tire out of the way, the stem can be pushed out to extend to the proper lenght to attach a pump. The tubes seem to be good quality, but I would not recommend them for tires/rims 35c or less. The base of the valve stem would cause problems.

If you get a good batch, these are good tubes. I ordered two - one is fine but the other has a pinpoint leak along the seam. Manufacturing defect. The leak is so small that I didn’t notice it when installing the tube, but it leaked out overnight. Was hard to find - I needed to use the soapy water trick. Fortunately Amazon customer service did right by me and gave me a credit for half the cost.

Nice high quality tubes. There are so many no-name cheap ones. They pop and are poorly made. These ones though are excellent. I installed them a few weeks ago without any further issues. Worth the extra money...buy brand name tubes as the cheapos are just going to pop and have to be replaced again!

Hi-quality inner tube. The last ones lasted over 5000km and were probably still good for more but I swapped them out when I changed tires just to be safe
