A: I know this question is 2 years old, however, for those currently wondering the same thing, I think I found the answer. According to another website selling the same item, this is what I found:

A: They seem to be fairly well built and have held up for my uses: freshwater pan fish and occasionally when I'm frogging for bass in cover.

A: the answer is yes, but not easy needle nose pliers and a sharp object. but this unsafe., or wire cutters. you can buy swivel the right size. and faster and alot safer. hope this helps.

A: More like a cross between silver and dark gray

It’s a good value on a lot of swivels. The issue I have is the soft meta on the bit that makes the closure. They are always bending down. The prong that accepts the hook will flatten and you will have to bend it back out to close the clip. So far no breakages bending tabs out from being pushed in with little pressure.
