It works as described. My installation is in a 2024 T-680 Kenworth. With the contours of my dashboard it’s not necessary to install the suction cup mount to the windshield. The free standing install remains stable on the roughest of highways due to the wide base of this mount. (The upper portion of the mount rest against the windshield). They dont hold well gps

I have just ordered the 5th bracket for my Rand McNally Overdryve 8 Pro. These brackets last 4, 8 and 17 months. The suction cup brackets are mounted to the front of the dashboard. Mounting them to the windshield would obstruct a good portion of view out the windshield. The GPS is heavy. As a result of the bouncing, due to driving an 18 wheel truck, the plastic tabs that hold the GPS to the Suction cup get fatigued and break off. This causes the GPS to fall to the floor. This bracket is much better than Rand McNally's bracket which only has 3 plastic tabs and suffer the same fate only after 3 months. I went through a number of the original Rand McNally suction cup mounts. Also I noticed with the Ramtech, because the GPS is so heavy the clamps/screws to hold the GPS in angled position eventually require gluing with Gorilla Glue. The clamps/screws don't tighten enough and strip.

I broke my gps holder and found this one for really good price and could pass it up it works awesome.

Has held up so far. Better than Rand McNally. Still a little wobbly.

I had searched for quite some time for a mount that would work with my Rand McNally Overdryve Pro 2 without any success until I found this mount. This mount works perfectly with the magnetic charging block attached.

It fits perfect! The suction on it is better then the Rand McNally comes with . Great product!
