Is the chuck supposed to be clicking once it is all the way tight? If I hold the chuck when its tight while the trigger is pulled it clicks.

If you have the clutch set to a low number then it is probably the clutch releasing as designed to limit the torque. If it happens on high/drill clutch setting then there is a problem with the gearbox. Careful when testing that you don’t damage your hand though. My gearbox failed (on the high speed setting) after six months of heavy use. Makita fixed it under warranty quickly.

Can these tools also use Makita's 3 & 5 Amp hour batteries?

It uses the 3.0a no problem, haven’t tried the 5.0a... but the way makita has been making their products lately has allowed large batteries on all products, but not typically the other way (smaller batteries on big tools). 5.0a battery will work on the saw, but will be super bulky and heavy on the drivers.

Which is better the 3.0 or the 2.0??

The 3.0ah batteries last longer. The 2.0ah are lighter. Both are good depends on your needs. I have the 2.0 set for around the house and use the 5.0 ah at work.
