**Q: how wide is it?**
A: I have this installed in a winter residence and am not able to answer this question.  I believe the dimensions are on the amazon page.    Sorry

**Q: Why can't it be used on a painted wall?**
A: I used it on the crib for a baby not a wall

**Q: Is this usable to cover corners? For example the corner of a bed frame or a table?**
A: Yes!  All or any sharp corners. Mine are on the corners at the bottom of my cupboard in the kitchen because it kept hitting me in my head. I’m about that exact height for it to do that so I ordered the corner covers. And they work great!

**Q: What kind of substance is this? silicone, natural rubber, pvc, or anything else? Is it supple? Thanks!**
A: I'm not sure what substance it's made of, but it's incredibly soft and malleable.

It's pretty decent but a little hard to fold over the edges. I actually regret not getting the other one I saw that already has a fold in it but I made it work. My bigger complaint is that I still had about 15 in left and they put this yellow alert tape strip like 5 inches from the end of the roll and it's not easy to peel off. So instead of having one cohesive strip for my cube I had to cut it short and then add another section. Why wouldn't you put that strip on the top of the tape instead of the adhesive side?? If I wasn't in a rush to toddler proof the edges of our new shelf I def would have compared more products bc I realized it wasn't as padded as I would've liked. That's on me but again mom urgency blindness. One strip already started to lift up so will see how long these last with an active toddler.
