A rentacoop bottle that I thought would work but this one works like a charm. It'll spill out when you first flip it over but just clean the spout and apply it to the cage and it'll stop. I just bought this and got this last night and thought it was going to be spilling like the rest but I was wrong! Might go for the bigger size next as this one is too small for my guineas but it'll be perfect for like 1 or 2 guineas. Easy to install as well just fill up to the make it full and put the plug in first then screw the top on as tight as you can. It has to be really tight! This was not as advertised but it does work! I just filled my guineas bottle and cleaned there cage and I haven't seen any drips out of it yet! I'm just waiting for a few more hours and hopefully it'll be clear of water! I'm just glad I found something that actually works! Also it didn't come broken though when I got the box it sounded broken lol but it was a pain to put the clip onto the bottle. I'd suggest put the clip onto the bottle and let it sit for a minute to expand so it'd be easier to put onto the cage.

I purchased this item preparing for a 8 hour drive to my daughter's wedding. I tried using a bowl not filled more then 1/2 way, but the water would still slosh all over. I am taking my two cats since I plan to visit the area where she lives for 7 days. They have not really tried to use it yet. But a Feral cat I brought in the house for two days prior to taking her to a local shelter, took to it right away. So I love that the bottle is made of glass. Good for cleaning. The tube is metal, so no chewing on it causing damage, plus easy cleaning. The metal screw cap that connects the tube to the bottle is the only weak area. It works perfect, but very thin. May warp in time. A little green turtle is included, it floats in the water so you can moniter the water level. So cute! I am very pleased with this purchase. Hope to use this item repeatedly.

Over the last two years I have bought three glass water bottles in the 12 ounce size. The first one I bought about a year ago in 2023 and it was just like in the pictures with a stainless steel cap and worked great. The other two I just purchased in June 2024 and they have plastic caps that do not feel like they are anywhere near as good of quality as the steel ones from the year before. I decided to give them a try anyway and the plastic cap makes it much more difficult to adjust the angle of the water tube itself as you tighten things - it wants to bind and not allow adjusting. But OK I can live with that - just an inconvenience compared to the old style. Next, when I went to mount the bottle to the cage the newer springs are now literally several times over longer than the one I received from last years bottle. OK - maybe that is better because too long of a spring can be adjusted shorter and maybe someone needs the longer spring so OK I'll live with it as well. So I got the first one mounted. Then I go to rinse out and fill the second bottle from this 2024 order and there's a hole in the bottle and water is leaking. There actually is a hole in the glass bottle as if it was formed that way. It is not a crack mind you - but instead a relatively clean hole about 1/8 inch in diameter. I'll be returing the defective one and not buying these any more.

I have two of these because they don’t leak and are made of glass so they don’t leach microplastics into the water. It’s also far cheaper than glass water bottles I’ve seen at pet stores.

the only reason why i gave it four stars is because of having to sit there and figure out where the lid likes to be so it doesn’t leak i was very hesitant in buying this because of the leaking issues but i did i bought two for my hamsters and they are great! nice and sturdy in order to figure out how to stop the leaking i found a flat surface like the wall and basically put the stopper in then the metal part on and started to screw the metal tighter while holding the pipe once i felt it was starting to tighten i let go of the pipe and screwed the rest in multiple positions...some people have there pipes facing towards the flat surface side and mine went the opposite so i think all of them are different also when testing if it leaks make sure to tap the ball a couple times and then if it continues to drop it didn’t work: when i flipped the bottle over to test water did come out so be careful of that and it doesn’t mean it’s still leaking i just put a paper towel over it when i flipped it for those with aquariums it works great! just buy industrial velcro and use that...you may have to use a little hot glue to stick to the bottle but to the aquarium it works fine

Great replacement glass water tube for my gerbil's cage. It is working well and no leaks! Note that the screw-on-lid is plastic, not metal, so if you have an intense chewer ❤️, this water bottle may be damaged. I overlooked this when I ordered, so I was expecting all glass and metal. Happy with this item though for the price and my needs.

Edit: Within a month the plastic cap has split. Incredibly disappointing because this was such a good product otherwise. The plastic can't handle the vacuum. They never should have changed from a metal one. I've also had to push one of the two metal balls in the tube down to get it unstuck because it was blocking all water, so check that if you aren't getting anything out. Original: Every water bottle I've had has leaked like crazy, but this one hasn't leaked AT ALL. Genuinely amazed by this. This is saving me so much water and bedding. It's also very secure on the cage. The glass is thick and strong. It is a bit of deceptive marketing because they still have the metal cap shown, but these definitely have plastic caps. It works amazing for the money, though. My rats have been using it just fine. Testing the spout, it'll take a moment to get anything out, but it does start flowing after a few seconds and the girls seem to have the hang of that. For four rats it holds a good amount of water. A little difficult to figure out exactly how you're supposed to attach it to the cage even with the instructions, though. Takes some finagling to get it both the height you want it and set up on the wire holder properly. The spring is simple, of course.

Leider kommt kein Wasser raus. Egal wie die Flasche montiert wird oder wenn man sie in der Hand hält. Die Kugel bewegt sich, es kommt auch Luft in die Flasche, aber es kommt vorn kein Wasser heraus. :(
