I'm constantly throwing half of a piece of fruit or vegetable into a mason jar or Tupperware or tin foil, so I bought these to help eliminate that craziness. Pros: - environmentally friendly and reusable -silicone and not plastic -different sizes -fin color options Cons: -stiff round shape- although the shape is great for round fruits like half a lemon, or open bottles and cans, it is awkward and not quite as tight of a seal when you're using on something not perfectly round. For example, I cut a lot of apples in half, and they don't quite get sealed in at the stem. Also, if you have anything square shaped or oval shaped like an avocado, it can get a little awkward. -awkward to use sometimes- I find that if you have a perfectly sized fruit or vegetable for the hugger that you are using, it's very easy to just slide it in. However, covering things that are roughly the same size as the hugger, can be awkward. A lot of pulling and stretching and trying to get it in there. Overall, I really like these. I would totally buy another set, but I've also been looking at different designs of the same thing to meet some of my other needs besides partially used citrus, cucumbers, and bananas!

I love these Food Huggers. They are especially great for storing things like a onion that is partially used or a partially used lemon or lime. They save me from using and wasting baggies for storage. Just put the cut side of the piece of food into the hugger. The next time you go to use it you will have a still fresh piece of produce.

These are a great idea to eliminate the use of plastic bags and other containers. They don’t take up much space either. Good for a cut apple, banana and a few other fruits or veggies but it’s hard to get the right fit. The outer lip edge tends to fold down instead of come up around the edge of the fruit or vegetable. Sometimes it is either too big or too small and it does not create a good seal. Also, best to use with something that has a thick peel or the food can dry out. Definitely the wrong shape for an avocado.

i never write reviews about anything but this was the best purchase i could make as a person who lives and cooks alone - it’s easy as pie to store the half-used produce and they stay fresher than if i used plastic wrap. haven’t tried this as a lid yet but it seems like it would work well. and the dishwasher cleans them so it’s super convenient!

These are great on leftover cucumber, tomato, lemon etc and on glasses. We use them on glasses of leftover coffee and wine.

These little toppers for your veggies that you want to save is such an effective way to reduce waste instead of wrapping the end of a cucumber in plastic. Works well and preserves veggies until the next time needed! Highly recommend!
