For the M&P 15-22, the rubber tip cannot get past the extractor and will not reach the barrel face. For the Precision Rimfire, the rubber tip is far too large to fit in the bolt path. Sure I could sand it down and maybe it would fit, but I was looking for something that works out of the box. **Q: Will it work for a Rem 783, 30-06?** A: Yes, you have a 30 caliber rifle and so do I. They come with 3 different tips to fit almost any bolt action rifle. I really love this bore guide because it eliminates any barrel solvent from entering the trigger mechanism.
